There is nothing like dining outside in the summer, and beautiful outdoor furniture is the perfect way to upgrade it. Ina Garten gives a masterclass in the garden of her Hamptons home with white metal bistro seating.

The Barefoot Contessa's patio furniture idea is set up in a secluded corner of her garden, surrounded by beautiful hedges. Its white metal color is the perfect contrast to her gray gravel patio and the light-wash wood tone of her house. It is shaded by a sloping green tree. The overall effect is the tranquil energy of the French countryside.

For those who love the look as much as we do, we tracked down a similar set on sale at Wayfair for just $102. It includes a table and two chairs, so you can create the same relaxed feel in your garden with one click.

It's no wonder that bistro sets like Ina's are quickly becoming an outdoor furniture trend for 2025. They are incredibly versatile and work well in any garden.

Lena Gierasinska, design expert at Barker and Stonehouse, explains: 'For those with limited outdoor space, such as a small balcony or courtyard, I’d recommend a bistro set. Bistro sets are compact, making them the perfect option for those with small gardens.'

She continues: 'Those with large gardens should also consider a bistro set because they are small and lightweight so they can be easily moved around the garden so that you can enjoy the last of the evening sun.'

As seen in Ina Garten's outdoor space, a bistro set can be effectively used to create a cozy zone within a larger yard. It works especially good with wrought iron furniture.

Lena advises: 'Alternatively, bistro sets can be used in a small dining zone in the garden - they comfortably accommodate two people for an intimate outdoor dining experience.'
