Here on the celebrity style desk, we find ourselves returning to some properties time again, simply because they're too incredible to forget. Such is the case with Jennifer Aniston's Beverly Hills home, an architectural masterpiece with interiors designed by the esteemed Stephen Shadley.

Stephen labeled this renovation the 'project of a lifetime,' and sometimes, reshares different angles of rooms that celebrate its resort-like beauty. This shot of her garden lounge is the latest example of that.

While the entirety of Jennifer Aniston's Japanese-inspired garden is a sight to behold, her outdoor living room epitomizes its resort-like aesthetic and ambiance. It's the blueprint for a luxe yet welcoming outdoor lounge, complete with conversational seating, candles, and a statement chandelier, creating a space that, designers say, is 'California-style living at its best'.

Shop the look

According to the designer and horticulturist, Nathan Heinrich, Jennifer's intelligent use of outdoor lighting is what makes this space so captivating.

'This space is at its best in the evening with all the perfectly placed landscape lighting. Notice how the lighting subtly draws attention to the elements it's accenting, rather than to the lighting itself? It feels like magic, but it's strategic and meticulously thought-out,' Nathan says.

'No one does indoor/outdoor design better than Stephen Shadley. Blending interior and exterior spaces so effortlessly, as Stephen did with Jen's home, takes great skill and impeccable taste. This sumptuous lounge area, which opens out to the pool courtyard and garden, is California-style living at its best.'

Alongside the lighting, Nathan says that her retractable window is worth copying, where possible. 'It allows total flexibility and can be replicated in climates that aren't as mild year-round as Los Angeles,' he says.

When in doubt, return to Jen's space as the ultimate source of inspiration for merging indoor/outdoor living this summer (and far beyond). It's iconic for a reason.
