If you have a furry friend at home, you've likely considered your pet's furniture with as much thought as your own. You're not alone: elevated pet beds are on the rise, and there's no sign of this trend slowing down.
None other than Jennifer Aniston is on board with replacing your ugly dog bed with a chicer alternative, as seen on her Instagram page. The Friends star keeps her dog comfy and chic with a white, shearling pet bed, which matches perfectly with her warm, minimalist space.
The shearling blanket cover has an almost boucle effect, tapping into the ever-popular quiet luxury trend, and proving that dog beds don't have to be purely functional; they can be luxe furnishings, too.

This plush, flower shaped bed is perfect for cocooning your small dog in comfort. The boucle texture would fit perfectly in a minimalist decor scheme.
If you dream of keeping your pet in the same manner to which you are accustomed, this adorable pet sofa is the perfect place to start. It would look so cute tucked into a corner.
This is a new launch from Ruggable in collaboration with Jonathan Adler. When we interviewed him about the collection he told us 'I was sick of going to friends’ houses and seeing their ugly pet beds' – having been the friend with an ugly pet bed I can see his point. There are a few designs in the collection, but this is the most neutral. Like their rugs, this is fully washable, so perfect if you want to use it on a patio.
According to design experts, making a room feel comfortable and chic comes down to adding textural elements, and if you have your dog bed in your living room, like Jennifer, opting for a soft material and light color is a fantastic way to achieve this look.
'By adding plush rugs, plenty of cushions and cozy throws ahead of the cooler months, you will create a welcoming ambience that will make it almost impossible to leave,' Magdalena Gierasinska, head of product and displays at Barker and Stonehouse.
However, it is important to be mindful of cleaning white pet beds frequently to keep them looking as spotless as possible. If you want something a bit lower maintenance, opt for a black shearling pet bed for a similar look.
