Looking for an ice cream maker this summer? Jennifer Garner's pick is an editor's favorite (and remarkably only $80)

It's ice cream season, and if you've been considering investing in an at-home maker but are overwhelmed by options, Jennifer Garner has a recommendation for you.

The KitchenAid ambassador recently shared a clip of herself making two different kinds of ice cream with her Ice Cream Maker Attachment (available at KitchenAid), which fits right into a classic stand mixer. It also happens to be one of our Kitchen Editor's best ice cream makers for 2025.

'With our KitchenAid Stand Mixer Ice Cream Maker Attachment in the freezer, we can decide to make an old standby, or a new favorite cold treat, any time we want, in under 30 minutes! (with a frozen ice cream bowl and fully prepped base),' Jennifer captioned the video.

The ease of attaching the ice cream maker extension to the beloved KitchenAid Stand Mixer proves how multi-purpose the latter can be, and also is a relatively inexpensive way to introduce this treat-maker into your home at $80.

'I really enjoyed using it and tasting the results. The textures were consistently smooth, professional, and pretty quick,' Laura Honey wrote in her review of the appliance.

'The KitchenAid is an option that looks premium, but doesn’t come with an excessive price tag. If you have deep freezers and a KitchenAid mixer, I wouldn’t hesitate.'

However, she says that the attachment is quite large and bulky, so those with smaller freezers should opt for a more compact ice cream maker. With that in mind, we have rounded up three of our editors' favorites for easy shopping, including options from Ninja, Breville, and Cuisinart below.
