It would seem that nobody is immune from the intricate art of maximizing kitchen storage, including Hollywood's elite, and the latest star to impress us is Jennifer Garner.
For her kitchen storage ideas, Jennifer shows us that the secret to a more functional kitchen is to simply look up. In her classic country-chic kitchen, Jennifer has taken traditional kitchen cabinet ideas to new heights, stacking her cabinets almost to the ceiling.
With charming glass fronts, these towering cabinets are more than just a beautiful design statement; they're a masterclass in maximizing every inch of space, proving that good looks and smart storage can always go hand-in-hand.

Jennifer's cabinets demonstrate a clever way to use spaces that are often neglected, such as the area above your refrigerator, range hood, or near the ceiling.
According to professional organizer Jan Arkwright, these are 'typically wasted spaces, as they are generally too high and awkward for everyday items.' However, she adds, it's 'the perfect place for storing infrequently used (that are used just a few times a year) and seasonal items'.
So, what should we put in high kitchen cabinets?Jan suggests using them for 'large roasting pans, baking items, picnic accoutrements, and small appliances not used often' – we all have that one massive roasting pan reserved for the Thanksgiving Turkey, am I right?
She also notes that if the cabinets have a glass front or are open kitchen shelves, they can be used to 'display decorative items or seldom-used cookbooks,' making a beautiful design statement.

'If the space is quite deep, consider installing pull-outs to make viewing and retrieving items in the rear easier,' Jan says. She recommends using baskets, like these discounted plastic storage organizers from Amazon, that hold smaller items and make retrieval easier.
'If your cabinets are large or particularly deep, it's a good idea to keep a list of what items you have stored there handy, perhaps in a lower cabinet or drawer. And, always use a step stool when retrieving items to prevent items from falling or getting hurt.'

These chic wicker-style storage baskets are perfect for bringing a dose of warmth and texture to your kitchen space. We love the intricate rope detailing.
These bins are perfect for storing smaller food items or cooking accessories that you easily want to glance at – ideal for pantry ideas.
Similarly, Jan suggests maximizing storage using large cupboards, too. 'These cupboard doors are often overlooked, but they shouldn’t be,' she comments. 'Take advantage of this large vertical door space and install top-to-bottom narrow shelves for things like spices, seasonings, and more.'
We're currently loving this Joseph Joseph Pot and Pan Lid Holders, available at Amazon that can be secured onto a cupboard door – no more missing pan lids!
