Jenson Button's Calabasas home exemplifies the Modern Organic aesthetic – and it's listed for $7.9 million
The hacienda-style residence exhibits the perfect blend of traditional influences and contemporary Spanish-style finishes
Formula 1 star Jenson Button and his interior designer wife, Brittny Button, have listed their Calabasas home for $7.9 million – and for that price tag, we can pick up the keys to one of California's most beautiful properties.
Brittny's designer influence is evident throughout the hacienda-style abode (known as Casa Encanto) that marries traditional European-style influences with SoCal cool finishes. The 1980s villa epitomizes the ever-popular Organic Modern trend – which, despite its 'trend' label, is no passing fad. This aesthetic merges modern design styles with naturalistic elements for a look that is destined to stand the test of time, and no home showcases it quite like the Button's.
'We renovated Casa Encanto extensively in 2021. We stuck with a tonal palette to create an airy atmosphere with the remodel. Our aim was not to create just a home, but a retreat, providing an oasis of calm in contrast to the bustling daily routine and city life,' Brittny comments.
The designer, who recently sat down with H&G, is an advocate for decorating with antiques and vintage goods that bring personality to a home, so it's unsurprising that her home follows suit.
As mentioned, Brittny and her team set about redesigning the six-bedroom home in September 2021, entirely preserving its original character. She paid particular attention to the interplay between linear design, organic shapes, and contrasting accents – from the cream wall plaster to the exposed beams and juxtaposing black frames throughout.
Spanning some 8,400 square feet, the home comprises a wooden chef’s kitchen, walk-in closets, a custom lounge and bar area, as well as a separate home gym. The stand-out room, however, is arguably the central living room, which is flooded with natural light and features high ceilings and an open-plan layout leading to the gallery on the upper level.
In the open-plan living room, Brittny curated various sitting areas alongside a modern marble fireplace that further emphasies the combination here of casual comfort and elegant flair. Large, black-framed patio doors open to a backyard oasis featuring a covered terrace and resort-style private pool enveloped with greenery and seasonal florals with panoramic mountain views.

'Every room makes you feel like you’re in Majorca and California all at the same time. Jenson and Brittny Button have an incredible sense of how to make a home that is both aesthetically pleasing and cozy and inviting,' comments Jaime Krupnick, a real estate advisor at Engel & Völkers who holds the listing.
'Properties with an unmatched attention to detail and such a high caliber in terms of quality standards rarely come on the market, even in Los Angeles.'
Interiors aside, Casa Encanto's sought-after zip code makes it one of the most exciting listings in California and, in turn, one of the world's best homes. Due to its scenic and secluded location in the mountains, as well as its many leisure pursuits and celebrity homes, Calabasas is one of the most fashionable places to live among Hollywood’s elite. With that in mind, we can't imagine Jenson and Brittny are moving far...
