I thought I had seen every type of statement lighting, but the raindrop design in Kaley Cuoco's living room took me entirely by surprise – it's so striking but simple
Maximalism reigns in the Big Bang Theory actress's living room, extending to her fantastical light display – her set-up is the most unique I've ever seen

As a Celebrity Style Editor, my days are spent looking through hundreds of images of celebrity homes, most of which feature statement lighting. However, even though I've seen much more statement lighting than the average person, I was still pleasantly surprised by Kaley Cuoco's design.
The Big Bang Theory actress's living room lighting idea features dozens of single lightbulb pendant lamps hanging from the ceiling at different heights. Her designer, Jeff Andrews, has arranged them in such a way that they look like raindrops cascading from the ceiling.
Kaley's dramatic lighting is the perfect complement to the maximalist design in the rest of the space. Though such a bold and striking light might feel overwhelming if used with a more pared-back design, it adds to the sense that everywhere you look in the room there is something exciting to see. From the pink chair to the patchwork rug to the pendant lights, every inch of the space is a focal point.

These minimalist pendants are similar to those in Kaley Cuoco's living room, making it simple to recreate her look. A few sets of these, and you will master the raindrop style in your own home in no time.
This stunning curved velvet sofa shares many qualities with Kaley's. Like the curved piece in her space, it encourages conversation.
Investing in a celebrity-approved trend doesn't need to come with a significant price tag. This delightful design is a best-selling buy for a good reason. It can also be used both indoors and outdoors and is best decorated with a throw and pillow.
Furthermore, I think that Jeff's choice of a brass finish for Kaley's space is stunningly fitting for the excess of yellow and gold in the room.
Rather than mixing metals, the gold finish of the lighting coordinates with the gold rim of the mirror, the gold edge of the hanging chair, and the decorative objects on the glass coffee table. The reflective quality of all of these surfaces helps the lights appear even brighter, flooding Kaley's entire living room with stunning illumination.
Finally, I admire how Kaley's choice of light fixture adds more interest to the room, which is full of round and curved shapes. Part of what makes it so beautiful is its departure from the rest of the scheme, providing an unexpected visual reprieve. When it's time to replace the lighting in my living room, I will definitely consider something like this.
Some designs make you stop in your tracks, and Kaley Cuoco's maximalist lighting definitely has that 'wow' factor. When something feels so personal and unique, it will never go out of style.
