Kendall Jenner's homes feature some of our favorite design spaces, often with a strong focus on materials, textures, and unexpected contrasts. This bathroom, with its stunning bronze bath, is a prime example of how she brings real wow-factor to a space without making it feel flashy.

A statement bathtub in an aged bronze or gold finish like this may seem a little over-the-top. Yes, it's bold and metallic, but with its vintage patina and alongside the pared-back decor in the rest of the room, it contributes to a warm, rustic, and storied aesthetic.

The key to choosing a dominant piece like a metallic bathtub is to let it shine as the main feature of the room, without layering in lots of other similar elements. Val Nehez, Principal Designer at Philadelphia-based architecture and interior design studio, Studio IQL explains: 'A brass or gold bathtub instantly becomes the heart of a bathroom; everything else in the space should support it, not compete with it. In past projects, we've paired them with soft neutrals, deep greens, and charcoal tones to allow the metal to really sing.'

Kendall Jenner's scheme might ignore the key bathroom trends but it gets this balance absolutely spot on with her neutral mosaic floor tiles and taupe blind, whilst the decor, from the carved stump stool (like this teak stool from Walmart), to the stoneware vases (Joon Loloi has similar), is quietly rustic, bringing contrasting texture and interest to the space. This creates a harmonious restraint rather than being jarring or overly 'busy'.

Val adds: 'Playing with texture can support a balanced and grounded feeling in the room. Small repetitions of brass in fixtures, lighting, or mirrors create harmony without overwhelming the space. The goal is to let the tub shine while the surrounding finishes quietly enhance it. A statement tub isn’t just a fixture; it’s a design moment that sets the tone for the whole room.'

The key is to start with a piece you really love and work backwards. If you are going for antique bathroom ideas, a vintage or reclaimed tub will clash with glossy, high-shine finishes, so opt for more natural tiles and surfaces with matte textures instead. Raw wood pieces and vintage-style furniture like this Target bookcase bring more unexpected contrast.

Monica Lewis, President of Ohio-based remodelers, J.S. Brown & Co. advises: 'Take cues from the tub you fall in love with. A patinaed finish with a hammered texture is going to look right at home with soft stone (or stone-look) floor, wall and counter surfaces – especially with a honed or matte finish that allows the soft gleam from the metal tub to be the star of the show.'

We love Kendall Jenner's statement brass bathtub, but if you're keen to explore the vintage look further, take inspiration from these traditional bathroom ideas that are making a comeback for 2026.
