One of Kris Jenner’s Oldest Christmas Posts Is Also One of Her Very Best – It Features Small Trees That Are So Inspiring for 2025
It’s easy to miss Kris’s holiday decor post from 2017, but it shouldn’t go unnoticed – her collection of small, colorful trees deserves a moment this Christmas
Nobody would blame you for not scrolling back to Kris Jenner's 2017 Instagram posts – I did it, because I knew you probably wouldn't. While browsing the momager's old photos, I stumbled upon her entryway Christmas decorations from that year and realised they should still inform our design decisions in 2025.
Almost eight years after Kris shared her trio of smaller Christmas trees, their size and colorful ornaments have never felt more inspiring. As someone who lives in a small city apartment, I always love to see how celebrities style smaller trees, and her combination of blue string lights (like these from Amazon) and red ornaments (just like these from Wayfair) is one of the easiest to follow.
Whether you invest in three small trees or decorate one in a similar red-and-blue palette, following Kris's example has never felt simpler. They'll make a beautiful first impression in an entryway like hers, but honestly, there's no bad place to showcase such a tree.

Standing 24 inches tall with a 14-inch diameter, this compact tree is perfect for tabletops and smaller spaces (or in a larger entryway, when collected in a trio). Pre-lit with 35 warm white LEDs, it delivers effortless holiday style and lasting charm.
These upgraded string lights feature high-brightness LEDs that shine cooler, last longer, resist peeling, and include four replaceable bulbs. They connect up to 34 strands, far beyond standard sets, making them the perfect choice for bold, expansive holiday displays or trees, just like Kris'.
No tree is complete without a few classic glass baubles. These vintage ball ornaments, just like Kris’ favorites, are perfect for catching the light and adding a warm, familiar charm that makes your tree feel cozy and timeless.
Red and green ornaments capture the essence of traditional holiday style, while their matte finish adds a modern touch. They pair beautifully with a natural green tree and look especially striking when complemented by the vibrant blue lights (just as Kris Jenner reminds us).
This 1.5-foot mini Christmas tree is perfect for entryways, small living rooms, tabletops, mantels, or shelves, offering the charm of a real tree without the mess. Pre-lit with warm white LEDs, and set in a stylish woven basket, it brings cozy, festive style effortlessly to any sized space.
Red and gold have been holiday classics for centuries, instantly adding festive elegance to any tree, just as Kris demonstrates. This set works beautifully in both entryways and cozy, timeless living spaces, creating memories you’ll enjoy year after year.
Ultimately, despite its date, Kris Jenner’s 2017 holiday look proves that great design doesn’t expire. Her playful mix of small trees, vibrant red ornaments, and cool blue lights feels just as fresh and stylish in 2025 as it did back then, which is why I think it's worth reviving this year.
It’s a perfect reminder that thoughtful, colorful decorating can work in any home (yes, even my tiny space), and I'm sure it'll look just as classic in another eight years from now. Timeless, approachable, and endlessly inspiring, this is a look that’s only gained relevance over time.
