I'll admit it: I'm not the biggest fan of gray, and I'm pretty picky when it comes to wallpapers. Kylie Minogue's kitchen may have just changed things for me, though; it's perfectly modern, simple, and effortless.

The singer recently shared a snap of her space on her Instagram page, and I was drawn into the mix of natural materials, like wood cabinets, with gold shelving fixtures, as well as a subtle yet striking, washed-style gray kitchen wallpaper.

Design experts say that subtly patterned wallpapers, like Kylie's, are going to be big this year, making an even stronger case for introducing them to your kitchen.

'Upholstery and patterns are great ways of bringing texture, character, and comfort to a space,' Herringbone House's William Durrant says.

'This also means that we are not talking about screaming colour and patterns, but about a layered and balanced interior. Whether it be bold, artistic, or less prominent fabrics, tiles, or wallpaper, it can lift up a room and make it come to life. Experimenting and combining colours, patterns, and textures into a rich, elegant whole is big for 2026.'

I searched the internet for the perfect match for Kylie's wallpaper, and I personally love this tie-dye style one from Wayfair, which also happens to be incredibly reasonable at under $50. To complete the look, opt for some gold cabinet handles, like these ones from Amazon, and this wood cutting board from Wayfair is a countertop staple, adding a natural ambiance to even the most modern of kitchens.
