Leah Kateb’s Signature Fragrance Secrets and Quick Cleaning Rituals Bring a Luxury Hotel Feel to Her Mountain Home
In an exclusive interview, Leah details how she uses resort-inspired aromas and rich textures to turn everyday rooms into a spa-like sanctuary
Luxury living is about more than beautiful design. It’s about creating a home that feels considered and inviting in every sense. Yet maintaining that atmosphere often relies on tasks that feel decidedly less luxurious. Cleaning, in particular, remains one of life’s unavoidable routines – something functional and necessary, but rarely aligned with the elevated experience we want our homes to provide.
That’s precisely where Leah Kateb enters the conversation. The TV personality, lifestyle tastemaker, and fragrance founder has partnered with Clorox Scentiva to reframe the ritual of cleaning altogether. For Leah, tidying isn’t simply about upkeep. Instead, it’s an act of self-care that's the basis of her mountain home. Her philosophy is simple: when scent takes center stage, even the most routine cleaning moments can make a home feel like a luxurious escape.
'For me, scent really makes or breaks your home, and I love having a home that people walk in and ask, “Wow, what scent do you have in here?”,' Leah says in an exclusive interview with Homes and Gardens.
'It’s really helpful when you give your space a little pick-me-up, such as a wipe down with Clorox Scentiva Disinfecting Wipes in Cherry Blossom & Peach [at Amazon] because they’re so quick and easy but also leave such a lasting scent.'
A perfumery expert with an eye for elevated living, Leah champions the art of 'scent-scaping,' using home fragrance to elevate her routines.
'The specific scent is what really makes the difference. Cherry Blossom & Peach sets a spa-like vibe; it’s very relaxing. It’s different than your typical cleaning product scent, so having it as part of my daily cleaning routine adds a mood-lifting vibe. It’s soft, fresh, a little fruity, and makes my whole home feel lighter,' Leah comments. Unbelievably, this also includes spaces with pets.
'The Clorox Scentiva Disinfecting Wipes in Cherry Blossom & Peach [at Amazon] are the secret to keeping it clean and smelling fresh. We’re very diligent about keeping our space clean. Every day, there’s at least a quick wipe down of everything in the kitchen and living space. We try to deep-clean 1-2 times a week, depending on the pet space, like our chicken coop or the cats’ litter boxes. We're really good at making sure there aren't any horrible smells. Miguel and I are both very on top of it.'

While Leah's approach keeps shared spaces feeling fresh and inviting, it's in her bedroom suite that fragrance layering becomes something more personal. The space serves as her ultimate retreat, with the bathroom acting as a sanctuary within a sanctuary – a place where cleaning and self-care go hand in hand.
'Our bedroom is definitely my happy, safe space, especially our bathroom. I love taking a bath, but I always need to clean my tub before I use it. We live in the mountains, so we sometimes can even have spiders in our home. I love to use Clorox Scentiva Scented Bleach [at Walmart] and Bathroom Foamer in Cherry Blossom & Peach to reset our bathrooms.
