Martha Stewart just replaced her 27-year-old fridge with a brand new model – it's a luxurious vision of sleekness and durability
Martha Stewart has revealed that her new fridge is a 36-inch bottom freezer refrigerator from Viking, a brand known for its contemporary design and longevity

When it comes to kitchen appliance recommendations, there is perhaps no one we trust more than Martha Stewart. Her pristine prep kitchens are always outfitted with the latest and greatest accessories and essentials, so it's no surprise that her new fridge is top-of-the-line.
In a recent Instagram post, Martha revealed the exact model she installed in her space, and it's a powerhouse from the esteemed appliance brand, Viking. She makes the case for it being one of the best fridge brands.
'This is the new 36-inch bottom freezer refrigerator from @vikingrange that is now installed in the prep kitchen of my guest house studio,' Martha states in the caption of the post, which shows off her shiny new fridge. 'It replaced one I had for 27 years. Because my prep kitchen is used for multiple events and shoots, sometimes with several chefs and assistants working in the space at once, it’s important to ensure all the appliances are always in excellent condition.'

One of the selling points of this fridge is its stainless steel material; not only does it look modern and sleek in its design, but, as Martha explains, it is also incredibly durable (hence her 27-year stint with her previous fridge).

This set of thoughtfully designed cookware is made from high-grade 18/10 stainless steel and has aluminum bases that distribute heat evenly for perfect results. This set has every pan you could need.
This board has a clever L-shaped bending design so that it won't slide easily when in use. The stainless steel won't go moldy, so it's always easy to clean.
Made from durable and high-quality polished stainless steel, these six tools have a thick construction, so they will not deform or bend. Plus, they're gorgeous on the countertops.
'The exterior is stainless steel, which is highly resistant to rust, corrosion and staining – a long-lasting option for heavy use kitchen appliances,' Martha writes in her blog post. 'I know I will get many years of use out of this Viking refrigerator.'
The post is also a good reminder that fridge replacement should be considered alongside lifestyle and degree of use.
'How a refrigerator is used directly affects its lifespan,' she states. 'For busy families, a unit constantly overloaded with items may not cool as effectively. One that is also under high traffic, frequently opened and closed, can experience temperature fluctuations, impacting its longevity.'

It appears the Viking is an excellent choice, with ample fridge storage space and temperature control technologies.
'The bottom-freezer design allows for easy access to all items,' Martha writes. 'The Adjustable Humidity Zone™ Drawers have humidity controls for food preservation and a soft-close feature to prevent any damage.'
In Martha we trust. Incorporating stainless steel appliances, especially a fridge is a powerful way to make sure your kitchen design lasts for years to come.
