It's a kitchen color that's been enduring for the last several years: green is ever-popular for a reason, and it's expanding beyond the kitchen and into the home bar.

Naomi Watts' wet bar is proof: the actor recently shared a clip to her Instagram page of her dark green-painted space, and it's giving us some exciting home bar ideas.

The dark shade is moody yet sophisticated, giving the space an 'Old Money' feel that pairs perfectly with bar carts and cocktail shakers as decor.

According to experts, dark greens in particular are trending in the world of interiors.

'Forest and racing green kitchens are having something of a moment right now,' says bespoke kitchen designer Tom Howley. 'As a color we associate primarily with nature, this grounding, cozy hue has an incredible way of reconnecting us with our surroundings, creating moments of calm and positivity.'

He continues, 'For 2025, expect to see oak cabinetry and butcher blocks paired with darker hues, like avocado green, and large stainless-steel appliances – creating a warm and inviting yet contemporary atmosphere.'

The range of greens you can use in a home bar is part of the appeal; go dark for a Naomi-inspired look, or there is the tried and true sage shade, which has a bright, airy feel.

Tom also mentions that deep greens are evocative of Bridgerton, another enduring cultural trend that has made its way into interiors via Regencycore.

'2025 is also the year of the Bridgerton Influence,' Tom says. 'Try deep, regal greens and a dash of nature-inspired pattern with a heritage feel. We may not all have a Bridgerton budget, but we can learn a thing or two about how to create beautiful spaces just by looking to the past.'

If you don't want to commit to covering your home bar in paint, try incorporating green accessories such as wine glasses or shakers for a similar impact.
