'Nice's most desirable home' belonged to Sean Connery – it's a preserved architectural wonder, and an Art Deco lover's dream
The original James Bond's former abode in Mount Boron, France, features preserved architectural details and luxury amenities, all with a view of the coast

It's rare that a home itself as as captivating as its surroundings, but an Art Deco property in the south of France checks both boxes: and it used to belong to none other than Sean Connery, AKA the original James Bond.
Having recently hit the market for €23,500,000, the five-bedroom villa was Sean and his wife Micheline Roquebrune's abode during the '70s and '80s. Original architectural details of the 1930 Art Deco build include mosaic inlays, wood panelling, iron staircases, ceiling mouldings, and an original elevator cabin.
'Villa Roc Fleuri is truly special,' states Chuck McKee, a sales agent at Savills. 'Known locally as the ‘Bond Villa’, it’s an opportunity to purchase what must be Nice's most desirable home, just above the water's edge on a prime, historic hillside location.'
Let's take a look inside.
Sunshine seeps into practically every corner of this expansive villa, and the living area is no exception. Minimally yet thoughtfully decorated, wood floors and cream-painted walls give way to a white sofa, wood desk, and low-profile glass coffee table. The space is elegant and timeless.

This stunning white and wood sofa has stylish curves and a modern sensibility. It is the perfect way to bring a bright touch into any living room.
Made from a soft blend of linen and cotton to softly let light shine through, this small scallop-edged shade can instantly elevate a small lamp base.
Tempered glass and tampered legs make for a smart and sleek coffee table that would look stunning in practically any living space.
French-style double doors and antique furniture add a historied element to the home, as seen in this corner of the living space featuring a piano and lounge chair. The balcony is certainly a perk as well.
Naturally, the French Riviera calls for some swimming, and this villa features a heated infinity pool with optimal views of the coast (with the property located in Mont Boron, focal points include the Port of Nice, towards Cap d’Antibes). There is a conveniently located table next to it for dining al fresco, giving us plenty of pool ideas.

The resort feel continues with the outdoor pool, which bleeds into the natural waters and features marble flooring and wrought iron gates.
Wellness is clearly a recurring theme in this property, with a home gym boasting top-of-the-line exercise equipment.
Finally, the primary bedroom is, like the rest of the home, vacation-worthy, with light linens, wood floors, and bright windows allowing for scenic views of the surrounding town.
Sean Connery's former home is listed with Chuck Mckee at Savills.
