Selena Gomez's earth-toned bathroom promotes wellness with a feature that's set to shape how we decorate
The actress designed her bathroom with relaxation in mind – and experts say this feature will change our bathing spaces in 2024
If you need us, we'll be in the bath. The new year is all about prioritizing wellness, and nothing better embodies this trend than an ultra-luxurious bathtub. With the simultaneous use of warm, earthy colors and a massive, freestanding soaking tub, Selena Gomez's bathroom is the perfect example of using bathroom design to promote relaxation and health.
The actress's bathroom features greige walls, white paneling, a modern white chandelier, hardwood floors, and, most importantly, a large bathtub. Together, the colors and tub work together to make Selena the master of the ever-growing spa bathroom movement.

The warm, greige paint on the walls stands out as a calming feature in the house, and it's projected to be one of 2024's biggest bathroom trends.
Andrew Ellis, the luxury bathroom expert at retailer Poshh, states: 'In 2024, we’re expected to see more people incorporating earthy and natural tones into their bathroom color scheme to promote a relaxing space.'
Andrew has been in the luxury home industry for over seven years with a focus on home improvement, health, and spa design. He is currently working as a content curator at Poshh, where he analyzes trends in bathroom design.
Selena's freestanding bathtub is another detail that embodies the wellness trend by creating a spa-like atmosphere. Andy says, 'The spa-like design of bathrooms rose in popularity throughout 2023 with people having more of a focus on their health and wellbeing in recent years.'
Renowned design studio Black & Milk reported receiving requests for more in-home wellness rooms like spas, saunas, and home gyms this year than ever before for this year. For those without space for a full spa, a luxurious bathtub like Selena's can provide the same calming wellness effects in a bathroom.
Jennifer Ebert, Digital Editor at Homes & Gardens, adds: 'A luxurious bathtub is a brilliant spa-bathroom idea. It provides the perfect spot to soak without disrupting the design of the space. It is a classic bathroom feature with modern wellness benefits.'
