It’s 'Taylor Swift Week' and we’re obsessing over The Life of a Showgirl – but where does the life of a showgirl actually happen?

Taylor Swift’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl, lands today, but while the world is tuned in, we’re asking a different question: where does the life of the ultimate showgirl actually unfold when the lights go down?

Taylor Swift’s homes have always been as much a part of her life story as her songs – the backdrop to a series of incredible chapters. And in Fall 2025, her real estate portfolio says almost as much about who she is now – with her recently announced engagement in mind – as her music does.

On a bluff in Watch Hill, Swift’s High Watch mansion has long been her most famous property. A sweeping Colonial-style house with commanding views of the Atlantic, it was immortalized in The Last Great American Dynasty. Now, it’s in the midst of a major reinvention. Reports confirm she is spending $1.7 million on renovations, adding a new bedroom suite, upgraded kitchens, and extra bathrooms, all with the aim of transforming the 11,000-square-foot mansion from a party house into a true family home – in keeping with this exciting new chapter in her life.

Beverly Hills: Hollywood Royalty

Firmly blending her Hollywood fame with her taste for elegant historical themes, Swift’s Samuel Goldwyn Estate in Beverly Hills is another cornerstone of her life. The 1934 Georgian Revival landmark was carefully restored by Swift after she bought it in 2015. Beyond its elegant arches and manicured gardens, the estate also houses her Kitty Committee Studio, blending private retreat with professional hub.

New York: City Cool

Situated in New York’s coolest neighborhood, Swift’s Tribeca loft compound remains her base in Manhattan. A mix of industrial bones and bohemian glamor (think exposed brick walls, wide-plank floors, oversized lamps, vintage rugs), it’s the perfect city bolthole. Over recent years, she’s acquired neighboring buildings to expand the space, which she uses for hosting friends, writing songs (Ed Sheeran was spotted there), and living her “downtown” dream.

Nashville: The Roots

Though less in the spotlight now, Swift’s Nashville homes, including a unit in The Adelicia development, remain a foundational part of her story. Warm palettes and Southern comfort touches link her back to the city where it all began. They are the quiet spaces that recall the songwriter before the stadiums, grounding her in the place where she first found her voice.

So where does the showgirl actually live? The truth is, she divides her time. Swift is famously nomadic (her Eras tour lasted an incredible 632 days, so that figures). Yet 2025 points to a clear shift: Rhode Island and Beverly Hills are the two main retreats. With High Watch undergoing a serious renovation and the Samuel Goldwyn Estate serving as both home and creative HQ, these are the settings where Taylor is most likely to land between tours. New York and Nashville remain essential bases, but they are less permanent fixtures than they once were.

5 style takeaways from Taylor’s homes

1. Narrative interiors
Each property tells a story. From the historic glamour of Beverly Hills to the windswept romance of Rhode Island, Swift’s houses mirror the eras of her music. Think beyond design trends; decorate with a narrative in mind.

2. Industrial warmth
Her New York loft shows how exposed brick and soaring ceilings can be softened with velvet sofas, patterned rugs, and oversized lamps. It’s proof that industrial bones don’t have to feel cold.

3. Heritage, modernized
Samuel Goldwyn Estate shows how to respect a building’s history while making it your own. Swift kept the Georgian Revival grandeur but added her studio, blending preservation with function.

4. Coastal grandeur done softly
Rhode Island’s High Watch isn’t all about drama. Rather, her renovation points to comfort and livability, with upgrades that make it a true family home.

5. Roots always matter
Even with mansions on both coasts, Swift holds onto her Nashville condo. It’s a reminder that the places that shaped you should remain part of your story, however your life evolves.
