Interior experts love the traditional-meets-futuristic style of Winnie Harlow’s LA dining room
Grounded by a monochrome color palette, Winnie Harlow's dining room is ultra-sophisticated
Supermodel Winnie Harlow’s Los Angeles home is modern and sophisticated, designed by esteemed interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard.
We’ve been inspired by the design of many elements of the home, from the monochrome color palette to the Hollywood-inspired bedroom, but today, we’re honing in on the dining room. Combining sleek, modern design with more traditional-inspired elements, we take a closer look at the room’s considered design which nods to quiet luxury.

Describing the space, Martyn Lawrence Bullard writes in the post’s caption: ‘An intimate space that is a show place not only for Winnie’s Cooking talents but also for her art collection,’ and goes on to explain that the dining table is 1970s vintage, alongside custom upholstered chairs from CB2.
He goes on to note that the addition of the rug helps to ground the space, whilst opting to paint the walls in a white color elevates each furniture item.
Linking to the traditional aspect of the space, the room also features wall paneling ideas which adds design interest; a style that is particularly effective when opting for an all-white color palette. ‘The traditional wainscot paneling in the room prepares the architectural details perfectly to be placed with the modern and asymmetrical light fixture and the monochromatic painting,’ explains Elizabeth Vergara, owner and principal designer at Vergara Homes.
Elizabeth Vergara is the owner of Vergara Homes, a home renovation company with a passion for bespoke and quality home design. Elizabeth has been helping homeowners as a design-build specialist for the past 13 years and has experience in both construction management and architectural design.
To add further contrast against the monochrome interiors, the addition of the large vibrant green plant on the table brings warmth to the space, uplifting the room and giving it a homely feel.
Interior designer Lindsay Tan elaborates on the effectiveness of the contrasting design elements, explaining: ‘Winnie’s dining room is a masterclass in the art of contrast. The rich simplicity of the light fixture lends a sense of unpretentious glamour. The gorgeous texture of the vintage marble table creates a high-touch focal point for dinner and conversation.’
