With a background in the fashion industry, Emily is well-versed in the world of design and trend cycles. Her undergraduate degree was in Fashion Communication and Promotion which she studied at Norwich University of The Arts, specialising in writing and digital communications.

Prior to joining Homes & Gardens, Emily worked in various PR and marketing roles across the property sector, as well as working as a freelance writer for a Scandinavian-based publication focusing on topics such as interior design, travel, and fashion.

Originally from Scotland, Emily now lives in Cambridge where she enjoys sourcing vintage furniture for her own home, as an avid lover of mid-century design. She has a keen interest in architecture and one of the interior designers she admires most is Rose Uniacke.
