‘Ice Blue’ Is the Bedding Trend Plucked Straight From the SS26 Runways – The Cool, Chic Update Your Bedroom Needs in the Summer Heat

Walk the swampy streets of any style-inclined city this summer, and you’ll find one very specifically frosty shade of blue – ice blue – cooling everything from the runway to the bed.
Dior put it on the SS26 runway in Paris. Miu Miu made it the color-drench of choice for its reopened flagship in Miami. Anne Hathaway wore a cascading train of it to The End of Oak Street premiere in Los Angeles. And where I live in New York, if the influencer you swear by doesn’t have it splashed across their bed sheets, one wonders whether they’re worth their salt.
Ice blue has become something of a calling card for a certain cosmopolitan style set, as well as appropriately cool-person-coded bedding brands like Tekla and HOMMEY. Last September, Nordic Knots forayed into sheets with ‘Shirt Blue’ – a close approximation of ‘Sky,’ the fashion-influencer-favorite rug shade that’s taken off for much the same reason. And Quince, of course, has struck while the iron's hot (or, given this particular color, not) with more affordable takes on all three.

Paired with the obvious sandy neutrals, ice blue starts to feel a little too beach house. Instead, we’re bringing the bedding trend back to its runway roots. Copenhagen-based Tekla takes a sweeter approach, pairing its icy Evening Blue duvet with Blushing Pink pillowcases and Cloud White sheets.

And – because it always comes back to Anne Hathaway – let it be known that her premiere look punctuated ice blue with a flash of red beneath the high-low hem. Suddenly, buying that crimson sham doesn't sound like such a bad idea after all.
