I never make it past a vintage glassware display, so of course I’m obsessed with these candle holders hiding in the Anthropologie sale – and the prices start from just $9
I've had my magpie eye on these candy-colored candle holders for a year – and now they’re majorly marked down for Labor Day

Truth be told, I’m a bit of a magpie. From Harry Winston rings to aluminum snack wrappers, if it sparkles, I’m interested – at least momentarily. Not everything holds my attention, but one Anthropologie find has managed to keep it for months. And right on cue, it’s marked down in the brand's Labor Day sale.
I first spotted the Cut Glass Candle Holders sometime last fall and was, quite literally, dazzled. Between the Deco-inspired stacked forms (available in a variety of heights), the vaguely mod color blocking, and the jewel-like facets that, according to rave reviews (4.9 stars from nearly 200 shoppers), catch the light like a mini disco ball, it was love at first sight.
‘These are so beautiful and rich looking,’ raves one reviewer – who, by the way, also mentioned they have nine years of interior design and staging under their belt. ‘I think I own every single one at this point. The style, the cut and colors – they are exquisite and worth every penny!’
These holders are basically jewelry for your surfaces. Sure, a dining table is the obvious canvas – but they shine just as bright on a side table, great for styling a coffee table, or adding some luxury to your shelf styling. I have the latter in my entryway, where I plan to style a few on top: a final hit of shimmer as I grab my keys, and a sparkling welcome when I return.
There are just over a dozen of these playfully stacked color combos in the Cut Glass family – though this bubble gum–and–moss iteration has my heart. At 5.5 inches tall, it hits a sweet spot: not too short to disappear, not too tall to block your guests across the table once you've added tapers. Ideal for styling next to not-yet-hung art or drawing just enough attention from a mantlepiece across the room.
$9? I could hardly believe my eyes. These candle holders are the more subdued siblings – a little more pared-back, but still just as sparkly. Their crisp, streamlined silhouettes are ideal for grounding more elaborate shapes in a cluster or lending a minimalist glint on their own.
This variation plays tricks on the eye. With its stretched silhouette and pedestal-like base, it reads tall – but at 4.25 inches, it’s actually one of the shortest of the bunch. Ideal for clustering or slotting in between taller taper holders you already own. The palette – aqua, pink, and mossy green – gives mod color-blocking an even more playful twist.
Given that several of these holders have sold out before (and having missed out once myself), it feels especially serendipitous that Anthropologie not only restocked the bijou best-sellers, but some are included in its extra 40% off Labor Day Sale (discount applied in cart).
And hey – with all that saved cash, the taper candles are practically free, right? Below, a few playful options to match your new tabletop bling.
If you know Anthropologie, you know the tapers – they have nearly every color under the sun. They’re an evergreen essential you’ll never regret stocking up on, especially while they’re on sale. The pomegranate feels especially chic with moodier holders, but with all the color–blocked options in play, you’ve got range. Go tonal, go contrast – there’s no wrong move here.
You know the Icon glassware – now meet the candles. Yes, Anthropologie does those too, and they've got petite pumpkins pressed into the wax. A little on-the-nose? Maybe. But with Halloween creeping closer (we all know the festivities start by late September), these fall candles are exactly the kind of seasonal wink worth getting ahead of.
Stripes are ubiquitous in home textiles, but in the candle world? A rare sighting, which makes this patterned taper duo all the more striking. The bold lines add a painterly quality to an already artful setup, and the range of colorways makes styling almost too easy. With a seven-hour burn time, it’s worth grabbing a backup set.
One last thing my magpie eye couldn’t ignore? Anthropologie’s Harvest Icon Candle Holders from the just-dropped Fall 2025 collection. I got to see (and hold) their art-forward, autumnal configurations for myself – and yes, they’re every bit as charming in person. Even better? They’re part of the sale too.
