Out of all of the DIY home content creators out there, few inspire me as much as Drew Michael Scott, the creative mind behind Lone Fox. His signature aesthetic is so distinct and captivating, it fills me (and millions of others) with the urge to transform our homes to look exactly like his. And in a way, we can.

After the massive success of the first Lone Fox x Joon Loloi collaboration, Drew and the Joon Loloi team are back again with another range of stylish rugs and pillows that embody Drew's vintage-inspired aesthetic. 'I think my love of antiques and all things worn and patinaed is just ingrained in everything I do,' Drew tells me. 'It is no longer a conscious choice; it has simply become the way I approach design. As I worked on this collection, it was not necessarily about forcing that influence, but letting it come through naturally.'

According to Drew, the new collection is built on the foundation of the first – both collections are deeply infused with what he calls 'the Lone Fox DNA'. However, this time around, new sources of inspiration were woven in, giving us a fresh perspective on Drew's signature style and providing us with new ways in which we can adopt the look for our homes.

If you're looking to ground your space with rich colors, Western interior design trends, and all the best of the Lone Fox aesthetic, shop the new collection below.

'Throughout the collection, you’ll find traces of Western motifs, traditional basket-weave patterns, and tonal tiles – all filtered through a modern lens and rendered in a rich palette,' Cyrus Loloi explains, Co-Founder of Joon Loloi. According to Drew, this influence stems from a trip he and the Joon Loloi team took to Round Top, Texas last year – an antique and vintage decor hotspot.

'I wanted [the collection] to have a loosely Western vibe without feeling 'themey', Drew says. That's where details like rope and basketweave come into play. '[Rope] can lean nautical, western, or simply serve as an interesting and unexpected detail. I have also been really into woven leather in fashion, so I wanted to abstract and reinterpret a basketweave pattern in a few of the rugs,' Drew explains.

As for the collection's color palette, Drew found inspiration in the art world. 'I came across a beautiful French painting from the 1940s online that had a stunning palette that really spoke to me,' he explains. 'I pulled some color swatches directly from the painting to use as a starting point. Since I had already seen all of these colors together in one artwork, I knew they would feel cohesive in the same collection.'

Shades of brown, beige, green, and blue are strong throughout the collection, and provide an expression of color without feeling too bold or overpowering. 'I love using color, but the colors I choose are more muted earth tones, which feel more approachable and livable to me,' Drew tells me. 'Earth tones have been used throughout design history, so my rugs can work in a variety of eras and styles of homes.'

'This collection is like a chameleon: it can stand on its own, or it can blend seamlessly into a space,' Drew remarks. That said, each piece was thoughtfully designed to shape the atmosphere of a space – to make it feel lived in, layered, and truly like home.

'If I had to choose one word to describe the influence this collection will have in a room, I would say 'grounding',' Drew remarks. 'The rugs carry a sense of nostalgia you cannot quite put your finger on, and the colors connect back to nature.' As do the pillows, too. These pieces aren't secondary decor – they're defining features that ground a room with elegance and style.
