The annual Homes & Gardens Design Awards shine a spotlight on the most inspiring product designs – here are our winners

Sometimes it’s the smallest detail that makes the greatest impact. These award-winning products, whether statement pieces or subtle accents, bring character and elevation to a scheme in ways that feel both fresh and timeless

The winners of the Homes & Gardens design awards product category have been announced. In many cases, it only takes one standout piece – or a little detail – to elevate a scheme, and our award winners do just that.

1. Best rug collection

Winner: Lithic, A RUM FELLOW

This range is inspired by landforms found in the British countryside. Echoing the textures, tones, and serenity of weathered stone, each design evokes the feeling of ‘standing alone amongst ancient rock formations and absorbing the wild landscape’, says creative director at A RUM FELLOW, Caroline Lindsell. Ethically handcrafted by artisans in India and Nepal using Tibetan wool, New Zealand wool, cactus fibre, and silk, the rugs are STEP and GoodWeave-certified.

2. Best rug design

Winner: Acres, Pelican House x Lucy Williams Home

This flatweave design by Pelican House x Lucy Williams Home is handwoven using 100% New Zealand wool and echoes the pastoral beauty of the English countryside. ‘I grew up on a farm, so Acres reflects the patchwork of fields and hedgerows,’ says Lucy.

3. Best outdoor & sustainable rug

Winner: Aster, Weaver Green

Weaver Green’s ‘wonder yarn’ sees 100% recycled plastic bottles transformed into fibres that mimic wool. Woven by kilim artisans in perfectly faded tones, the Aster is ultra-durable yet has the look and feel of an original kilim.

4. Best runner design

Winner: Skye, Bombay Sprout x Laura Stephens

Available in three lovely colourways, this is crafted by fourth-generation weavers in India. It is made using hand-harvested jute, which is biodegradable, recyclable and grown without fertilisers or pesticides.

5. Best flooring

Combining the rustic charm of sisal with the practicality of synthetic yarn, this herringbone
weave by Unnatural Flooring is water-resistant, UV-stable, and easy to clean. It is suitable for indoor or outdoor use and can be fitted or made into custom rugs.

6. Best chair

Winner: Bill’s carver, Studio HÁM

Founded by siblings Tom and Kate Cox of family-run architecture, interior design and build practice HÁM Interiors, Studio HÁM is a unique home store offering vintage pieces as well as custom-made furniture. The duo draws inspiration from early English antiques to create playful and practical designs, such as Bill’s carver chair. Available in two finishes – Smokey and Mist - the chair is made from oak and topped with a woven seagrass seat.

7. Best desk

Isabel Lankester of Isabel & Co trained at KLC and was Justin Van Breda’s right-hand woman before launching her own furniture company. A star piece, the Lomada is made to order in Portugal with a solid oak top and can be upholstered and piped in any fabric.

8. Best sofa

This sofa design by Porta Romana showcases the brand’s ability to combine retro aesthetics with modern craftsmanship. This customisable design features a generous,, deep seat, elegant curves, and a polished beech plinth. The substantial size makes it ideal for spacious living areas.

9. Best stool

Winner: The Nautilus, Astrid Houssin Interiors

Available in bespoke RAL colours, with a matt lacquer and pearl lacquer finish, as well as a range of hand-painted finishes including faux tortoiseshell and faux parchment, this stool by Astrid Houssinserves both as a decorative piece and a versatile seating option.

10. Best furniture collaboration

Both the design and the name of this table light by Max Rollitt honour Charleston, the East Sussex farmhouse where Bloomsbury Group members Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant treated every surface
as a canvas. There are four seasonal colourways, with each light hand-turned then painted by a local artist.

19. Best wall light

This wall light by Hector Finch takes its design cues from the Vienna Secession movement, which was closely related to Art Nouveau. It features a pressed brass shade, a spun brass wall plate, and a lost wax cast knuckle joint, which together exemplify the brand’s commitment to traditional craftsmanship.

20. Best bed linen

21. Best mirror

A complex mould made in several parts is used
to create the organic shape of this mirror. Delicate yet robust, the ceramic design comes in three high-gloss glazes - Crème Brûlée, shown, Safari and Capri – and
can be customised to suit any space.

22. Best home fragrance

Winner: Anemone candle, Grove England

Founder of Grove England, Laura Butler-Madden, worked with a British master perfumer on this candle, which combines chamomile, jasmine, and neroli with warming notes of labdanum and cedarwood.

23. Best headboard

Appliqué artist Natasha Hulse’s enchanting headboards start as intricate paintings, which are developed using layers of fabric, hand-painted, and hand embellished with embroidery thread.

24. Best accessories collaboration

Months of research went into the design of this collection, which draws on the patterns, textures, and finishes found at iconic locations such as Hampton Court Palace and Kensington Palace. Each piece in the range of switches and sockets has a panel-mounted, screwless design and is handcrafted from solid brass, available in three finishes.

25. Best product made in the UK

Winner: Rowen & Wren

Founded in 2011 by Lucy Uren and Graeme Purdy, Rowen & Wren is a homeware brand committed to supporting British craftsmanship and sustainability. Collaborating with skilled artisans, small family-run workshops, and local carpenters and craftspeople, they strive to create timeless, high-quality pieces that will last lifetimes.

26. Best outdoor accessory

Winner: Lampshade parasol in Double Cream, Plia Parasols

Plia Parasols takes its name from the French word plier, meaning ‘to fold’. Finished with a bullion fringe from French design house Houlès, the Lampshade design is made from a creamy-white, mid-weight, fade-proof fabric and is available in various formats and sizes.

27. Best outdoor collection
