We love: The Principal London

A timeless feel merges with modern sensibilities in this elegantly refurbished hotel, which pays tribute to its Bloomsbury neighbourhood.

About The Principal London

The latest hotel to open its doors in the capital is one with a history as rich as its decor. The Principal London, which occupies an impressive Grade II*-listed building that was once the Hotel Russell, now offers guests understated glamour. The interiors of this grande dame, sensitively redesigned by Tara Bernerd & Partners, are beautifully simple. Room schemes, which exude an air of quiet luxury thanks to a layered palette of rich taupe and cream, all feature a trademark red telephone, while artwork has been carefully chosen in a nod to the hotel’s local Bloomsbury heritage.
