There's no Place for Dull Decor on my Christmas Table, and Anthropologie's Holiday Collection has Nailed the Brief for Joyfully Kitsch and Colorful Tableware
Retro festive cheer is at the heart of Anthropologie's new holiday dining drop, and I want it all

No matter how meticulously I usually arrange a tablescape or plan out a color scheme, I adopt a different approach to the holiday season. When it comes to Christmas decorating ideas, I take the utmost joy in abandoning every ounce of restraint in favor of glorious, colorful kitsch. My latest obsession? The retro-inspired, utterly charming holiday kitchen and dining collection from Anthropologie.
I can't imagine Christmas without whimsical decor and mismatched ornaments; too much regularity and suddenly the fun festive spirit starts to waver. As soon as I spotted Anthropologie's 2025 holiday decor, I was desperate to fill my home with every playful piece. And now that their holiday dining collection has officially arrived, I can finally create the kitschy, merry tablescape I've been dreaming of.

There's something about Anthropologie that really does make me want to rip up the rulebook; I've already started using my Anthropologie Christmas decorations for fall, but now I'm ready to take the festivities up a notch. You can't blame me – what else can I do when I spot a beaded plaid holiday placemat or a gingebread stoneware cake stand?
If, like me, you're dreaming of a kitschy Christmas, you want to add some of these pieces to your table. It was difficult to choose my favorites, but I've pulled together a selection below.
