Inside Black Panther's Angela Bassett's LA home – a luxe estate for a Hollywood star
The Marvel history-maker shared a look behind her sprawling estate – for a sentimental reason
Angela Bassett, star of the Black Panther movie series, is among the most talked-about stars in Hollywood.
The New York-born actress recently made Marvel history after receiving an Oscar nomination for her role as Queen Ramonda in the aforementioned film franchise – making her the first MCU actor to receive an acting nomination from the Academy. So, it's only fitting that her residence lives up to her reputation.
The Colonial-style estate, located in La Cañada Flintridge, is among the most notable in Los Angeles (one of the world's best homes), complete with a spacious lush garden and a series of luxuriously decorated rooms perfect for entertaining. This was precisely the case in the video shared by Angela Bassett below, in celebration of her 25th wedding anniversary.

To mark the occasion, Angela and her husband, actor Courtney B. Vance (seen in 61st Street and Dangerous Minds), hosted a large house party at their residence. The footage begins above the beautiful garden at their family home, shared with their twins Bronwyn and Slater Vance. It shows the residence during the day and at night time after more guests arrived to celebrate with the couple.
'25 years…When we first got married, we couldn’t wait to say we made it to 10 years! Now, look at how far we’ve come! As Frankie says, ‘Joy and pain are like sunshine and rain…’ Whew! He sure was right! We’ve had ups, we’ve had downs; we gained two amazing children; but lost cherished family members and friends,' Angela says.
The seven-bedroom home, reportedly built in 1936, has over 4000 square feet of living and dining space, along with a spacious backyard that has a series of walkways and a pool (you can catch a glimpse in the video). Urban Splatter reports that the couple purchased their home in 2007 for $6.18 million.
An insight into the rooms beyond the video Angela shared is hard to come by; however, those on Urban Splatter suggest the home primarily exhibits neutral color ideas through its white-painted walls and wooden French doors that fill the living space with natural light.
