We can't stop admiring Catherine Zeta-Jones' intricate patio design – and the landscaping beyond
There is a lot to love on the actress' 12-acre estate – but her meticulously-designed patio demands all attention

Welsh-born New Yorker Catherine Zeta-Jones is a force of the silver screen – but her talents expand beyond Hollywood to her home (or rather, her garden).
The actress, who is best known for her roles in The Mask of Zorro, Chicago, and most recently Wednesday (as Morticia Addams), shared a rare glimpse into her $4.7 million estate in Irvington, New York. The land, which spans 12 acres, is impressive in its expansive size and location (with views of the Hudson River). However, it is her meticulously-placed patio that steals all the attention.
Catherine Zeta-Jones recently documented the light snowfall in her garden (below), sharing that her perfectly-positioned patio slabs allow the snow flurries to sit 'in perfect harmony.'
'When 'OCD' is in perfect harmony. The snow flurries rest around my patio slabs in just the right place, ahhhh,' she writes.
Catherine, who lives in her Westchester County home with actor and film producer Michael Douglas, describes herself as an 'interiors fanatic' on Instagram. Though, we would say that her garden landscaping ideas are hard to rival.
Her patio demonstrates beautiful symmetry – whether covered in snow or not – making a statement against the otherwise natural landscaping.
An expansive stretch of grass sits beyond the patio, leading to a tree-covered woodland on the fringe of New York's most famous river. The view can be enjoyed from inside the property (where Catherine likely took the photograph) or from the balcony, surrounded by cast-iron railings seen in the image.

However, out of shot, the actresses' garden has more features to accompany luxe family living.

During one of the Covid lockdowns, Catherine shared snapshots of Michael and their dog in their al fresco dining area, dressed with black and white gingham cushions against cream chairs.
Hello also reports that their backyard includes an outdoor kitchen, a private bridge, and a tunnel by the Hudson. Inside the home, there is an indoor swimming pool and fitness suite, a wood-paneled library, and a games room. The couple lives with their two teenage children, Carys Zeta Douglas, and Dylan Michael Douglas.
To get a sense of the actress' decorating style, you can tour Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones's former Mediterranean Island home, which is equally as striking as their New York abode. Their property portfolio spans from Bermuda to Canada and, of course, Catherine's home town of Swansea, South Wales.
