One of Homes and Garden's most-loved appliance brands, Instant Brands, has filed for bankruptcy, citing a lack of demand post-pandemic, difficult economic conditions, and struggles to navigate the global supply chain process.

That said, the kitchenware brand, (which makes some of the best air fryers and market-leading multicookers is still trading on Amazon where many of its appliances were on promotion for Prime Day (11-12 July).

Amazon's members-only shopping event may be one of your last chances to get an appliance at rock-bottom prices before the company calls it a day. Though it might be the beginning of the end for Instant, it promises to support customers through their culinary journeys.

Here is a trio of highly-rated products we recommend adding to your basket before it's too late.

What happened to Instant Brands?

Last month, BBC news reported that credit ratings agency S&P Global downgraded Instant Brands, saying 'its net sales for the first three months of 2023 had fallen by almost 22% compared to a year earlier'. It later submitted a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing on Monday, June 12, 2023. This means that the company can continue trading as normal as it goes through bankruptcy proceedings.

Is it still safe to buy Instant products?

In short, yes. If warranty concerns are putting you off buying, rest assured that under the terms of the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, Instant Brands are still trading as normal so it should honor all respective guarantees and consumer agreements.

What about maintenance?

During its voluntary court-supervised process, Instant Brands has said that it will continue to serve and distribute its products to retail partners, while also working with vendors, suppliers, and distributors without interruption.

On the consumer side, they have vowed to continue inspiring and helping consumers to use their air fryer through the official Instant Brands Connect app (available on Google Play and on the Apple app store).
