If you’re looking for a little escapism at the moment (and let’s face it, who isn’t?) then you could be in luck, as one company is looking for a couple to run a holiday home over the summer.
The property in question is pretty much as remote as they come, located on an island off the coast of Scotland — the Isle of Skye.
Silver Swan Recruitment is in search of a couple to come and run the holiday home, from April through October 2020. The hired individuals will be responsible for maintaining the rental property —particularly in regards to keeping it clean and orderly —as well as welcoming guests for their stays.
The job description notes that the desired candidates should have housekeeping experience, the ability to work in the European Union, a driver's license and a flexible attitude. Accommodation will be provided to the selected housekeepers and each individual will be paid £1,200 a month for their efforts.
The company said, ‘ The adventurous Isle of Skye Management role will see the successful couple spend their summer on the remote island, managing a beautiful property while exploring the wild countryside and immersing themselves in Scotland's unique culture. The Isle of Skye Management role is the perfect position for a couple who are looking to get away from it all and spend a peaceful summer in the Scottish wilderness.’
The Isle of Skye —which is part of the Inner Hebrides (a chain of Scottish islands) —is best-known for its picturesque scenery, particularly its unique rock formations.
Despite its remote setting, the property still has whole host of modern facilities, such as electricity, Wi-Fi, and phone reception. There's little chance you'll be disturbed during your stay, too, as the island has a population of roughly 10,000 people.
Those looking to apply can do so on the company website, by filling in a short form and uploading a CV.
