Pillows Grand Hotel Reylof in Belgium wins Best Hotel Design award
The charming hotel in Ghent wins prestigious design award...
If it's an ultra-chic European weekend getaway you're after, the Pillows Grand Hotel Reylof in Belgium is perfect. Why? The hotel has just been awarded winner of the Best Hotel Design gong at the Venuez Hospitality Awards 2019.
Dating back to 1724, the building of Pillows Grand Reylof Hotel was the former baronial residence of poet Baron Olivier de Reylof and sits just outside the boundaries of the medieval city walls of Ghent.
The hotel’s award-winning design perfectly combines historic architecture with modern Scandinavian style.

Each of the 157 state-of-the-art rooms and suites are sympathetically decorated to create a welcoming retreat away from the buzz of the city.
The neutral tones and grey hues of the hotel’s colour palette, combined with a neoclassical mix of marble floors, ionic columns and a sweeping staircase creates a unique set of spaces that take you on a journey; from relaxing in front of a roaring fire surrounded by wood clad walls, to the sleek marble of the bar and the homely parquet wood flooring of the restaurant.
The Venuez Hospitality Awards focus on innovation, style, good entrepreneurship, growth potential, price-quality and, above all, excellent service.
With 13 coveted awards, from Best Restaurant Design to Best Coffee Inspired Concept, the Venuez Hospitality Awards are highly regarded throughout Belgium.

Pillows Grand hotel manager, Anna Rollema, comments: 'Our luxurious hotel is somewhere guests can find the comfort and warmth that is found in their own homes; whoever they are and wherever they come from.
'We have a stunning property to work with, but it is our team that make our hotel truly exceptional. From our housekeeping team to our chefs, from reservations staff to front office hosts, every member of the Pillows team strives for excellence, day and night.'
The newly-designed Louis XIV style townhouse is just mere steps away from Ghent’s historic centre.
Lose track of time in the leafy surroundings of the courtyard garden, or escape to the modern Spa Reylof and fitness, tucked away in the historic coach-house.
The garden harmoniously blends in with LOF Restaurant and its terrace. Here, the kitchen team, led by Jasper Maatman, serves culinary high-quality dishes, inspired by the gastrobar food of famous Dutch star chef Ron Blaauw.
Meet in one of the stunning nine salons overlooking the garden or the city, or simply kick back with grace in the LOF Cafe where beans are roasted to perfection and there's a tasting room to pick your favourite wine. Sounds like heaven.
