Nostalgic Christmas decor is a huge trend this year – and I am getting all of my kitschy pieces at QVC
Cute, kitsch and reminisce of your Grandma's Holiday decor, QVC is the place to go to embrace the vintage Christmas trend
I have always had a soft spot for vintage Christmas decorations. I so vividly remember the ornaments I had growing up that when I see something similar I am instantly filled with a lovely nostalgia. However, for years kitsch, cutesy decor has been shunned, with trends favoring more neutral color schemes and minimalist ornaments.
However a massive emerging Christmas decorating trend for 2024 is nostalgicore – all the tinsel, all the colored lights, and endearing motifs of cartoon reindeer and rosy-cheeked Santas. And I have found an abundance of pieces that fit this trend perfectly in a rather unexpected place – QVC.
9 vintage-style Christmas decorations to pick up at QVC
This wreath is just so nostalgic, and if you are decorating a kid's room or playroom this Christmas this would be perfect hung on the door. I do think this could be styled up to make it just as chic as it is cute. I can picture this leaning on a mantle, layered with a full evergreen garland, candles, and more minimal ornaments like those cute ceramic houses you can add a candle to.
This looks like an adorable Christmas book, but it's actually a handy storage box that's ideal for corraling clutter. It would be perfect to give your coffee table a seasonal update and store less aesthetically pleasing must-haves like the TV remote. It would also be a nice festive touch to the bedside table in your guest bedroom if you host over the holidays.
There's a huge selection of lovely wreaths at QVC, but this super life-like faux cedar wreath is reminiscent of the one I used to make with my family. Really lush and natural looking, and the gold bells add the vintage charm.
I'll confess my tree doesn't have a theme per se, it's an eclectic mix of ornaments I have collected over the years, and this cute radio design is a top contender for my new addition for 2024. It comes in pink and green too.
Hang this from your mantle, over a range cooker or above your child's bed for a easy way to add some festive nostalgia.
This style of reindeer gives an instant retro theme, and I am seeing this vintage motif everywhere for 2024. To make it even more cutesy, it also lights up so will really get noticed on your tree.
The motif of the red van carrying a Christmas tree is a vintage classic. I feel like everyone had something with this design on growing up, for me it was a throw pillow that went on my bed year after year. Hang this stocking on your mantle for an instantly cozy, festive feel.
The ultimate nostalgic Christmas decoration, a holiday carousel. This is the kind of decor that lasts decades, becomes an heirloom even. There are lots of options on QVC and the prices range from cheap and cheerful to beautifully designed collectibles.
Colored lights have gotten a bit of a bad rep in recent years, with so many of us favoring the simplicity of warm white lights. But colored lights scream nostalgia and expect to see them everywhere this year. I love the oversized bulbs for a real vintage touch, and these lights can be used indoors and outdoors.
