Anthropologie released its holiday collection early – here’s everything on my list
The new Anthropologie holiday collection is a mix of whimsical meets vintage-inspired decor.

Yes, I know it's only September. And yes, I know it starts earlier every year. But if you want to get ahead of the crowd, Anthropologie’s holiday collection has already dropped.
If I learned anything from shopping for fall and Halloween decor, it’s that things sell out fast. This year, I’m looking ahead and getting into the Christmas spirit a little (okay, a lot) early.
Anthropologie’s holiday 2023 collection features a good mix of whimsical magic meets vintage-inspired with retro ornaments, cottagecore garlands, and – of course –the coveted Anthropologie holiday mugs, which this year have taken on a 1930s art deco twist.

You can trust Homes & Gardens.
This year, I have my eye on several Anthropologie holiday home decor pieces, including everything from the Festive Bistro collection (it’s giving future vintage collectible vibes) and the most adorable Anthropologie holiday candles ever. After scouring all eight pages of Anthropologie’s holiday collection, I’m sharing my favorite seasonal picks.
Anthropologie Wreaths and Garland
Anthropologie’s collection of wreaths, garlands, and other botanical-inspired home decor is a must. The brand makes some of the most whimsical and stylish holiday wreaths I’ve ever seen—and the garland is so realistic, it’s worth the splurge. In this year’s Anthropologie holiday collection, I love the retro globe ornament wreaths and the funky garland greens. I also have my eye on a tinsel tree that is perfect for displaying a small, sentimental ornament collection.
This year, Anthropologie Christmas wreaths are on their A-game. This wreath is utterly timeless. The faux pine brings a homely feel offset by bursts of color from the red berries. It will be suit almost any room but I think this will be best on your front door.
I’m a big fan of Anthropologie’s faux garland because it looks so realistic but can actually last years and years. This year, I’m loving the whimsical rosemary garland, which features long and wispy sprigs of herb-inspired greens that blend beautifully with mantle decor. This garland measures 66 inches long and is made from durable plastic, so it’s super easy to wipe down and clean before storing for next year’s festivities.
For less obvious decor, try this retro-inspired ornament wreath, constructed from UV-protected and shatterproof ornament globes. The colorful ornament wreath features a vintage-inspired color palette with pops of pink and red placed throughout more muted greens, blues, and golds.
Anthropologie Table Decor
Ahead of the busy dinner party season, stock up on tablescape items such as a new holiday table runner. I always look forward to Anthropologie’s Christmas dessert plate collection, which doubles as a festive holiday hostess gift. And, this year, I’m definitely splurging on the brand’s festive crackers, too.
The Festive Bistro collection from Anthropologie is one of my favorite holiday dish designs I’ve seen in a long time. I personally love the dessert plates because they make for an adorable table setting but would also make a gorgeous host gift for a holiday dinner party. The plate comes in two different designs and features 24K gold decals for an added touch of sparkle.
If you want to dress up your dining table this holiday season, a festive runner is necessary. The Types of Wreaths Table Runner features a fun, illustrative, and educational design with different wreaths and wreath names, including magnolia, eucalyptus and orange, and evergreen and pinecone.
My family loves to kick off a holiday meal with Christmas crackers, and these Evergreen Tree Crackers are a work of art. The pinata-inspired crackers each come with a festive glitter star brooch and—of course—a joke and hat. Available in a set of 6, they’re a fun touch to tablescape decor and would add a nice touch to a dinner party with girlfriends.
Anthropologie Christmas Ornaments
Anthropologie Christmas ornaments boast some of the most whimsical and magical designs I’ve ever seen. And, while I usually wait until the Anthropologie holiday sale to purchase individual ornaments, I always try to snag a set or two in the pre-season. This year, I am loving the advent calendar set—which reminds me of the viral Lenox Spice Village—plus a few other trendy ornament sets.
Add a nod to the advent calendar tradition to your Christmas tree with this adorable Winter City Advent Calendar Ornament Set. The ornaments come in a set of 24 and feature adorable houses with numbers that correspond to the days leading up to Christmas. This would be a fun addition to a tabletop tinsel tree or fluffy evergreen garland, too.
Anthropologie has some of the best food ornaments I’ve ever seen, and this year’s Italian Cookies Ornament Set does not disappoint. Available in a set of six, these ornaments are constructed from high-quality glass and feature three classic Italian cookies.
If you’re loving the mushroom trend and want to incorporate the cottagecore theme into your tree or garland decor, these mushroom clips are another ornament set worth considering. Available in a set of six, this collection features several different whimsical glass mushroom designs all decked out in glitter for a sparkling touch.
Anthropologie Holiday Mugs and Drinkware
Anthropologie mugs are the holiday houseware items I look forward to every year. This year, the brand has an adorable Festive Bistro collection with a matching monogram mug as well as some gorgeous glassware pieces. But, the Anthropology holiday mugs I’m most obsessed with are the retro Santa mugs with a matching pitcher – it’s made for sipping eggnog by the fire.
It’s not the holidays without an Anthro monogram mug. This year’s Festive Bistro collection features this adorable Tile Monogram Mug with 24K gold accents and alternating handle colors in red and green. The mug is also under $20, making it one of the best holiday gifts for friends, coworkers, and teachers.
If you love a holiday wine glass, you’ll definitely want to add this Yuletide Stemless Wine Glass to your cart. Made from mouth-blown glass, this festive stemless wine glass features a Christmas tree decal filled with glitter in either green or gold that shimmers as you sip.
There’s something about a vintage Santa mug set that feels so magical. If you love this look, Anthropologie has the ultimate splurge-worthy mug set from the Old Flame Candle Co. This set comes with five Santa mugs and a matching Santa pitcher and are perfect for sipping eggnog and hot cocoa throughout the holiday season. If you love the mugs but don’t want the pitcher, you can also purchase a set of the Old Flame Candle Co. Vintage 1960s Holt Howard Holiday Mugs in this year’s Anthro holiday collection.
Anthropologie Holiday Candles
If you’re looking for the best holiday gifts for friends, coworkers, and teachers, you can’t go wrong with Anthropologie holiday candles. I already have my eye on a few (for my loved ones and myself) from this year’s collection, which includes some of the best holiday candle scents in gorgeous, decorative vessels that can totally be repurposed into home decor.
With its gorgeous glass tree vessel, the Hallorm Woody Fresh Balsam & Cedarwood Glass Tree Candle is part decor part aroma. The lidded candle jar has a sasol wax blend base with notes of freshly cut evergreen, citrus, white cranberry, sugared plums, and cinnamon for the most delicious holiday candle scent. Its burn time is 49 hours—which is surely enough to last the holiday season—and, once empty, you could totally repurpose the jar for holiday decor.
If you’re looking for a candle to give this holiday season, the Betty Woody Mistletoe & Moss Ceramic Snow Hat Candle is one of my favorite candles of the season. The candle features a hand-poured coconut wax blend base with notes of pine needle, wild lavender, spiced eucalyptus, oakmoss, and amber, and its 55-minute burn time will surely bring the cozy vibes all season long.
When I say that Anthropologie’s candle collection doubles as holiday decor, I’m thinking of the Frosted Bottle Brush Tree Candle. This candle has a coconut wax blend and comes in five different sizes and scents, including evergreen and citrus, apple and cinnamon, cedar and spruce, quince and spice, and evergreen and citrus, and features the cutest bottle brush tree toppers that pair well with your mantle decor.
