Have you seen French-Algerian designer Anissa Kermiche’s bottom before? No, you didn’t read that wrong. Her big-bottom vases became somewhat of a cult hit a few years ago. This striped earthenware piece is one of her newer designs, perfect if you don’t want to make such a bold statement.

On first impression this vase looks like ceramic but it is in fact made from leather. A joyful surprise nonetheless. The motif, which was created by the American artist Joe Brainard, has been made using the age-old technique of marquetry – a real collector's item.
