I've spent hours hunting for the best Amazon furniture finds to bookmark ahead of Prime Day – here are the chicest finds I don't want to gatekeep

As a shopping editor who loves a bricks and mortar store, I thought Amazon would be the last place I'd find myself shopping for furniture. But I'm here to tell you, I've been well and truly converted thanks to these surprisingly chic Amazon furniture finds.

Alongside being a shopping editor in my day job, I am also mid-renovation, so both budgets and timelines are tight – and there is nowhere better than Amazon for furniture deals with speedy arrival times. So with Amazon Prime Day just around the corner, I decided it was time to comb through Amazon to uncover the best-rated and most stylish furniture.

While we all love Prime for quick, small buys, I'm aware that shopping for furniture on Amazon can be quite daunting. The endless scrolling, countless options, and mixed reviews can leave you feeling even more confused than when you started. So you might as well let the experts take on the hard work and filter everything down by top reviews, best brands, and designer lookalikes for you. Here's everything you need to know.

Best Amazon Furniture

Here are a few quick links to the best brands I personally love if you want to do some of your own browsing, but if you prefer a little more guidance, I have also categorized furniture finds by room if you keep scrolling.

'I tend to browse by brand,' says Lindsey Davis, our Content Director for Lifestyle eCommerce. 'Safavieh has a range of classic and luxe look items at a very reasonable price. Christopher Knight (yes, of Brady Bunch fame) offers some beautiful mid-century style pieces and on-trend silhouettes. Plank + Beam was a fairly recent find for me, but it is now my first stop for solid wood furniture I can build at home. Even Ikea furniture is on there now, which is great if you can't reach one in person or are dissuaded by the delivery fees.'

Shopping for furniture on Amazon can be hit or miss. But when you know what to look for, like solid wood frames, quality upholstery, and thoughtful design details, you can absolutely find gems. I have also been personally victimized by online furniture shopping that either looks cheap when it arrives or falls apart within a year. That's why I've put customer reviews at the forefront of this hunt, making sure I've sifted through every review and recommendation to bring you a truly trusted list.

Here are 24 of my favorite finds, sorted by room for your ease:

Best Amazon living room furniture

The living room is where everything happens – lounging, hosting, working, you name it. So it deserves some special attention. I’ve rounded up the best Amazon finds that balance comfort and stylish living room furniture trends, from chic coffee tables to cozy accent chairs that instantly elevate your space.

Best Amazon bedroom furniture

Your bedroom should feel like a luxury retreat, but furnishing it doesn’t have to be expensive or overcomplicated. Amazon is actually one of the best places to buy bedroom furniture, so long as you take your time to do the research.

I’ve found some surprisingly gorgeous pieces, from space-saving nightstands to upholstered beds that make your bedroom feel calm, considered, and stylish without the designer price tag.

Best Amazon office furniture

A functional home office doesn’t need to feel like a soulless cubicle. Whether you're after a comfy desk chair, a compact desk, or storage, these Amazon office finds combine practicality with good design.

Best Amazon dining room and kitchen furniture

When I was redoing my dining room, I couldn't have been more shocked at the price of chairs and tables these days. Luckily, Amazon makes these big-ticket buys way easier and more accessible, and they've nailed some of the most timeless dining room furniture trends, too.

Is Amazon a good place to buy furniture?

Yes! If the picks above haven't convinced you that there are some seriously chic pieces to be found on Amazon, then I'm not sure what will. Amazon is great for cheap, convenient furniture, but don't let that confuse you; that doesn't mean low-quality or throwaway. As long as you know how to shop Amazon, what to look for, where to look, and do your research, you can find some truly timeless, beautiful pieces.

'For those of us old enough to remember when Amazon only sold books, it isn't the first place that comes to mind when you need new furniture,' adds Lindsey. 'However, as we now all know, there is little you can't get on the online retailer these days, and their furniture selection is as diverse as the rest of their categories.'

What is the best way to shop Amazon for furniture?

Personally, I like to start my search by brand or by storefront rather than by item. Of course, you can check out our list of fave brands at the beginning of this article, and there are lots of lovely designers or influencers with GREAT storefronts to shop, so why not let them do most of the browsing for you? A personal favorite is Lone Fox's Storefront, and I also love to check Chris Loves Julia's page.

Lindsey also recommends being mindful of the algorithm. 'Due to the amount of choice, there is an art to shopping Amazon for furniture,' she explains. 'Remember that the majority of people shopping there are looking for affordability and speed of delivery, so the algorithm often serves the most shopped picks first – expect a range of practical storage furniture and home office essentials.'

'Amazon is popular with college students and parents furnishing kids' rooms on a budget, so you have to dig a bit more to find the more sophisticated selections. But trust me, they are there.'

Finally, the key to shopping Amazon's vast selection is the reviews. I only tend to make a purchase on Amazon if it has a decent amount of reviews at 4* or 5* and love to scroll through customer images and reviews to get the most IRL angles of an item and pros and cons to the order (e.g quick assembly or colors differing to images online).
