Everyone’s talking about cozy fall, but I’m still trying to stay cool – it's the perfect time to grab this portable AC unit at its lowest price ever
My portable AC has saved me

I have several chronic illnesses that make heat and humidity hard to tolerate, especially at night, and it often stops me from sleeping. That’s why getting a portable AC unit for my bedroom this year has been an absolute game-changer.
And I know everyone is talking about getting ready for cozy fall, but the reality is that temperatures don’t really drop to cool enough to turn on your heating till the end of October in many areas, and for some, much later.
That’s why I am really happy to see this portable AC unit on sale on Amazon at its lowest price ever – just $129 – making now the perfect time to grab one for more comfortable days and nights whenver you need it.
Why a portable AC unit has been my best purchase of 2025
This portable AC unit has the same specs as the one I bought on offer a couple of months back, and this remains 'Amazon’s Choice', meaning it’s bought often, rarely returned, usually in stock, and well rated by customers who have bought it. It comes with a remote and 24-hour timer for ease of use, as well as a window kit for the exhaust.
This unit comes with a remote control for easy tweaks to settings and can cool up to 350 square feet with ease.
This is a similar spec to mine, which cools down not just my bedroom, but the entire upstairs of my home. You’ll find the coolest temps in the room the unit is in, but the rest of the 350 square feet (if that space is spread out in a few rooms) will become comfortable too.
I have been using mine multiple times a day to help me deal with my disautonomia, which is a condition impacting my nervous system and causing an inability to regulate my body temperature well. This means I get easily overheated and become dizzy, faint or generally feel rubbish and unwell.
Using a portable AC unit like this is a great addition for a DIY cool room and won’t involve the large monetary outlay or hours of installation needed for built-in air conditioning.

The unit on offer, above, has three modes, just like mine: Cool, Fan, and Dehumidify. I have yet to use any besides the cooling because it is so good on mine. Plus, it’s quick, and though it can be a little noisy, it’s a white noise type of sound that I have fallen asleep to with ease every night since bringing it to my home.
And, if you get sick of the sound, once your room has become a comfortable temperature, you don't need to get up to turn it off. Just click it off on the remote (and the comfort of your bed).
As for the specific unit on offer right now on a limited-time Amazon deal, verified shoppers rave about it, including ‘T K’ who gave it five stars. They said ‘It’s a keeper’, adding, ‘Great unit, rolls nice,’ and how when it’s in its high setting, they can ‘feel it 12 feet away, strong!’ After more use, they added, ‘You could easily cool one level of your house.’
It’s worth noting that these types of units and exhaust pipes, which are an exit for the hot air removed from the room, are said to be best for slide windows and come with a full window kit to adapt yours.
My window is a push-pull, and though the window kit is not a perfect flush fit, it’s still possible to use it. I have not had any problem with hot air coming back in through the tiny gaps. It’s not perfect, of course, but for just $129, who can complain?
This is its lowest ever price, by the way, as confirmed on camel, camel, camel, which shows the price history of Amazon products, making it a great time to shop.
Just take note that you'll need to place your unit within about five or so feet of a window, due to the maximum extension of the exhaust pipe.

With a 24-hour timer, three modes, multiple fan speeds, and a remote control, it couldn't be easier to get comfortable on sticky nights. I also use my portable AC unit after I've showered and am boiling hot, or when I'm drying my hair for a much better experience.
I have found this tower fan to be far superior over classic round fans. Towers are excellent at moving tall columns of air and are quieter. This has a timer for turning off.
That exhaustion you feel on hot days is often dehydration in disguise. I take this good electrolyte daily to help me adequately stay hydrated and replenish minerals lost through sweating.
This is my best-ever water bottle as it keeps my ice water cold for 12 hours. The flip-down straw and lid combo makes it completely leakproof, too.
Keep your space even cooler by blocking the heat from getting in. I've used this handy portable blackout blind for nearly a decade in my hottest rooms. It suctions on and off without damage and packs away in seconds.
This is the exact AC unit I bought for my bedroom, and I have been so happy with it for a number of months of use. Minimal upkeep, easy to set u,p and reliable cooling have made it a hit for our household.
