Claire and George Kittle's Storybook Nashville Cabin Has 'Total Treehouse Vibes' – Tour The Cozy, Nostalgic, and Homey Interiors
The NFL player and his wife worked with Pottery Barn to transform their Tennessee cottage into a cozy home – it's alive with texture and natural light
Claire and George Kittle's Nashville home reinvents the archetypal log cabin for welcoming, chic modern living.
The San Francisco 49ers tight end and his wife transformed their humble Tennessee cottage, working closely with the Pottery Barn Design Crew to add layers of cozy textiles and neutral furnishings to the good wooden bones. Designed to feel personal, nostalgic, and lived-in, the interiors are a masterclass in understated yet elegant styling.
Starting with the entryway, the Kittles' patio features a proper outdoor living room, perfect for sitting out and sipping sweet tea late into those famous Nashville nights. It's replete with stylish Adirondack chairs, and elegant wrought iron lanterns from Pottery Barn.
Part of the clear charm of the home is that it is designed exactly to the Kittles' specification, for a beautiful design that perfectly fits the needs of their family. This choice to add character to the home comes through especially in the living room. Cozy blues and whites make the perfect complement to the natural wood beams of the ceiling.
George explains, 'My favorite thing about the cabin is just the natural light that's everywhere, and then the big comfy couch that I get to sit on while drinking a cup of coffee and looking out into the trees and into the nature because it makes me feel like I'm in a tree house.'
Claire concurs, adding, 'It's total tree house vibes.'

Adding a faux fur throw to a sofa is one of the easiest ways to bring in texture and a cozy, woodland feel. These pottery barn ones are especially striking and soft.
Outdoor lighting has never looked so elegant as with this gorgeous iron and glass lantern. Add a pillar candle for understated yet durable glamour.
This lamp would fit beautifully into any home - it's textured but understated, making it the ideal addition to a neutral space. I like the idea of putting it on a colorful table as a grounding accent.
A rectangular lumbar is one of my favorite shapes for a decorative pillow, and this beautifully textured version would be a beautiful addition to a neutral sofa. The accents of green are perfect for a nature-inspired room.
Teak chairs are some of the most stylish and durable additions you can make to your porch. Pair with a few outdoor cushions for a polished take on the classic patio.

The Kittles' gorgeous sunroom extends this feeling of welcoming but elevated space. It features plenty of seating, creating the perfect spot for the family to relax in the sunlight and natural beauty of the surrounding outdoors.
Claire quips: 'I am a huge fan of the two chairs in the sunroom because you have those huge open windows and you fit in the chairs,' referencing her extremely tall husband.
The modern Americana aesthetic of the home feels easy to sink into, and takes a connection to nature to the next level.
