I Tried Dua Lipa’s Signature (But Controversial) Pickle Nespresso Coffee – She Uses This Iconic Machine That’s Perfect for Iced Summer Drinks

You'll either love or hate Dua's pickle recipe, but these Nespresso picks are a little less debatable – iced coffee has never felt so chic

There are two things that get me up in the morning: A pod from my Nespresso coffee maker and Dua Lipa’s music – her Radical Optimism album to be precise. You can imagine my delight, therefore, when I discovered my worlds collided. As of this week, Dua is Nespresso's Global Brand Ambassador, and her first order of action was to bring one of her most controversial drink pairings to the coffee world.

Back in 2024, the singer sparked debate with an unexpectedly divisive creation: Diet Coke mixed with pickle and jalapeño juice. The combination inevitably went viral. It became a defining pop culture moment, less about the drink itself and more about her instinct for unconventional pairings that blur the line between curiosity and controversy. Then, when we thought it couldn't get any more scandalous, she introduced an espresso shot into the ring.

Alongside launching a series of drink pairings (including Avocado Toast and Marmite coffee), Dua has endorsed some of Nespresso's best machines, starting with the Vertuo Up.

'I feel like I have grown up with Nespresso. There’s always been a Nespresso machine nearby – at home with my family, on set, or in a hotel room – so teaming up with them was a really easy decision,' Dua Lipa comments.

'I just love how they are always exploring new flavors and finding ways to evolve as a brand. Working together has already been loads of fun, and it’s just the beginning.'

Ahead, Dua Lipa-loved picks that deserve a spot on the most compact of kitchen countertops. The pickle addition is optional.

Dua Lipa’s Nespresso era is officially here, and it’s every bit as bold, polarizing, and stylish as her discography. From neon tumblers to the sleekest machines on the market, the collection proves that while the flavors might be radical, the quality is always classic.
