Everyone says quiet luxury is over, but where do the minimalists go? Rather than rejecting the stealth-wealth look wholesale, we're adapting the beige-and-cream trend of the last few years to feel more cozy, timeless, and inviting. Eva Mendes's bedroom is the perfect example of what this new iteration of the trend will look like.

We spotted the actress's bedroom idea in a recent get-ready-with-me-style video where Eva and Ryan Gosling's bed features prominently in the background. It's a masterclass in decorating with neutrals.

Recreate Eva's Look at Home

Neutral bedroom ideas will always be popular, but in the chaos of 2026, it is taking on a particularly warming feel, as seen in Eva Mendes's bedroom.

Karl Openshaw, Designer at Blocc Interiors, explains: 'Earthy tones are resonating because they instantly ground a space. After years of cool grays and stark minimalism, people are craving warmth, depth, and a sense of emotional security. Shades like plum, cocoa, and warm red tones feel familiar and comforting; they wrap a room in softness and depth. We are also seeing lots of stripes in earth tones, predominantly in wallcoverings, bedding, and cushions.'

He advises integrating the 2026 interior design trend through small splashes to start. This advice is replicated in the rug and headboard in Eva Mendes's space. Karl recommends: 'Introduce these colors through accent walls, upholstered chairs, even painted woodwork. Pair them with natural finishes like oak, linen, and clay to maintain calm energy, and always balance deep colours with warm lighting to keep the space inviting every season.'

As the bench in Eva's space indicates, touches of chocolate brown are key to bringing the quiet luxury feeling into 2026. This year is all about sumptuous texture and inviting warmth, rather than cool minimalism.

Karl further advises: 'Browns are perfect for creating intimacy and warmth. Use them in living rooms or bedrooms, and balance their richness with textured fabrics, warm whites, or brass handles. Brown leather, boucle chairs, or walnut cabinetry introduce depth without repainting an entire room. Use deep rich burgundy and plum tones in rooms that have less light and make a statement, use contrasting artwork and accessories to add another layer.'

Eva Mendes's space shows that even as the most popular neutral look changes, the drive towards quiet luxury will always remain. The key is styling that feels personal and original.
