George Clooney swears by this space-saving coffee maker for amazing-tasting brews – experts love its 'small but mighty' design
The actor's go-to is beloved by coffee experts for its minimal footprint while brewing drinks with maximum flavor – plus, it's beautiful
How much does George Clooney love his Nespresso? Enough to become an avid brand ambassador and film several commercials for the beloved coffee giant. In fact, the actor has been the 'face of Nespresso' since 2006. Honestly, when the coffee tastes this good, it's no surprise.
Nespresso machines consistently rank among the Homes & Gardens team's picks for the best coffee makers of the year. They are favorites among chefs, baristas, and coffee lovers. Clearly, Clooney agrees. After filming a recent film for the brand, he said: 'With coffee taste and sustainability being at the heart of this commercial, it felt natural for me to be part of this campaign with my Nespresso family,' emphasizing the brand's emphasis on recycling alongside great flavor.
In the video, Clooney is shown making a cup of joe using the Vertuo Pop Solo maker. This machine is one of Nespresso's smallest and most affordable designs. Chosen as the best compact Nespresso of 2024, its compact shape is distilled down to its purest components. Like its larger cousins, the coffee maker can brew drinks in four-cup sizes using a variety of pods from the brand. It's also available in a range of playful colors for a fun twist.
Clooney's coffee maker, the Vertuo Pop, makes a big statement despite its compact size. One button is enough to activate the best barista-style coffee in every cup.

It's not just Clooney who loves the machine. Our Nespresso Vertuo Pop coffee maker review rates it as four stars out of five. The coffee expert lauds its compact design, how fast it heats, its great price, and how incredibly easy to use it is.
However, the most rave reviews appear when it comes to flavor: 'The Vertuo capsules knocked them out of the park. The flavor is deeper, the crema thicker [than coffee from an original Nespresso], and the aroma fills my kitchen in a way I have never experienced before. Nespresso says this is achieved by its trademarked Centrifusion Technology, which, judging by the mad whirring sound emitted from the machine, means the pods are spun around very quickly to ensure every drop of flavor is extracted from each capsule,' says Linda Clayton, our reviewer.

According to Clayton, the only drawbacks of the machine are that, because of the compact size, the water tank is smaller than an original Nespresso machine. The smaller water tank also limits the mug size, not allowing users to make a very large coffee in one go. When the worst thing about a product is that you want more, it's a pretty good choice.
If you're a coffee connoisseur with a love for Clooney, this maker is the pefect buy. However, we can still follow in his lead with some more of our favorite Nespresso pieces, including this countertop gem, approved by none other than Joanna Gaines below.

This exclusive Magnolia coffee maker has all the benefits of the classic Nespresso Vertuo: designed to make both coffees and espressos in a variety of sizes. Complete with the brand's Centrifusion technology, the maker formulates the 'perfect single-serve', creating barista-grade coffee at the touch of a button.
There are hundreds of ways to make coffee, but if George Clooney says this is the best one, who are we to disagree? Paired with its glowing expert reviews, the Nespresso Vertuo Pop is one to watch.
