Though bold kitchens are becoming more popular, the couple's classic, neutral look proves why simple colors will never go out of style

When it comes to classic kitchen cabinet colors, one shade comes out on top every time: white. The timeless color reflects light, making a kitchen feel larger, brighter, and cleaner. Hilaria and Alex Baldwin's white cabinets are the perfect demonstration of why the hue will never go out of style.

We spotted the alluring kitchen cabinet color in the background of an Instagram reel from Hilaria, sharing the things in her kitchen that make sense as a mom of seven. However, nothing seemed to make more sense than the white cabinets. They complement the glimmery white countertops, and provide a clean contrast with the marble subway tile backsplash. The whole look is backgrounded with light wooden floors.

A pan to the sink in the white kitchen reveals a glass-fronted cabinet placed above for additional light reflection. The hardware is shiny silver, creating a very breezy, airy, and modern look.

In recent years, kitchen cabinet trends have pivoted towards bolder, statement colors, but that doesn't mean that white cabinets are going anywhere.

Megan Slack, Head of Celebrity Style at Homes & Gardens explains: 'No matter the year, white kitchen cabinets will always appear in many of the world's most beautiful homes. What is timelessly appealing about this shade is that it forms the perfect blank canvas upon which to transpose any other color, finish, or interior design style. Even as what's popular changes, the white cabinets can remain constant and still look as fresh as the day they were installed.'

To style the look like Hilaria and Alec, I recommend layering white accessories on top of white countertops. To introduce slight contrast, you can integrate gray marble pieces, as seen in the backsplash of this kitchen. Metallics are another great neutral option. The goal is to keep the space as bright and light as possible, so shy away from dark colors with a hard contrast.

Though the 'in' colors change over time, some classics will never go out of style, no matter the year. White cabinets are one such timeless pick.
