'I love Alabaster on kitchen cabinetry. Its gentle warmth softens a full wall of built-ins without ever veering yellow,' says interior designer Kathy Kuo, who also notes its appeal on kitchen walls. 'Or, opt for natural wood cabinets and take Alabaster across the walls and ceiling for a seamless, enveloping look that feels like a warm hug.'
'[Alabaster] is a great backdrop for the things I actually want to notice in a kitchen: beautiful stone, interesting hardware, wood tones, artwork, textiles, or a great light fixture. It lets those elements have their moment without competing with them,' says Melissa.
'I particularly love Alabaster on ceilings, walls, and trim,' Melissa agrees. 'It can be beautiful when used throughout the kitchen to create a really cohesive, enveloping feel and create a perfect backdrop to most cabinetry color choices. It can act almost like a supporting character – it’s there, it makes everything else look better, but it doesn't need to steal the show.'

'We typically color-drench our kitchens with Alabaster (using it on the ceilings, walls, and trim) and complement it with a slightly warmer, taupe cabinet,' explains interior designer Claire Zinnecker, who complements the shade's ability to sit alongside a variety of other hues. 'It works with almost every color. Greens, browns, pinks, and blacks, although I don't think it is the best for cooler tones and grays.'
