For me, fall is all about enjoying the small comforts of my home. In fact, my favorite act is perhaps the simplest – curling up with a book. It might sound small, but it has become an important ritual of mine during cozy season.

So, when I laid eyes on Jennifer Garner's fairytale reading nook, I instantly had design envy. Featuring an Art Deco-style stained glass window and wood-panelled walls, I was struck by the quaint and charming feel of the reading corner.

Jennifer Garner's book nook feels so snug and inviting. The eye-catching stained glass window undoubtedly makes the room feel special, but its cozy feel is enhanced by thoughtful decorations.

What makes Jennifer Garner's book nook so inspiring is its one-of-a-kind design. Featuring a show-stopping stained glass panel and whimsical decorations, it's the book nook trend at its best.

While the wall panelling adds to the room's coziness and ties in with the Arts and Crafts feel of the space, it's the stained glass panel that truly shines. Inspired by a classic children's book, the bespoke piece was created by Reed Bradley, a stained glass expert. Not only is the stained glass a beautiful centerpiece that provides both warmth and pattern, it's a piece with a metaphorical message, designed to transport its occupants to a world of fantasy.

'Stained glass is no regular window; it’s another piece of art in your home. It creates such a unique, specific look, and it also modulates your light.' explains Dan Staupe from Compass Exteriors. 'It’s a feature that comes from classic design. Well, technically, it’s Gothic, and it was also featured prominently during the Art Nouveau era. But my point is, it’s an element of design that is so traditional, so beautiful, so prominent in expensive, carefully designed, long-lasting structures, that it’s impossible for it to become dated, or tired, or tacky. It has always been beautiful and always will be.'

Stained glass is designed to shine. Jennifer's reading nook pays homage to the classic feature by scaling back the decorative accents. Dan adds, 'I think it’s important to let the stained glass shine by itself as a design element, and let everything around it be subdued. You can echo the colors from the stained glass itself in the rest of the space to tie it in with everything else, without needing to go full Gothic with all of your design. It’s still going to look harmonious.'

Jennifer Garner's reading corner is breathtakingly serene and magical. The colorful stained glass window and wood-panelled walls make it the perfect place to sit and enjoy a book.
