Jennifer Garner’s wooden fridge completely reinvents the invisible kitchen trend – I can’t stop thinking about its futuristic design
Jennifer's wood fridge blends seamlessly into her cabinetry, proving that the unpainted look is truly timeless and versatile

We've all seen how unpainted kitchen cabinets can give a room a rustic, natural feel, thus cementing their place in interior design well beyond trends. But have you ever considered an unpainted wood fridge?
Jennifer Garner's wooden kitchen has us pondering the idea. In a post recently shared to her Instagram page (as well as here), we can see that her wood refrigerator departs from the traditional stainless steel and white facade to a natural, wood exterior that blends seamlessly into her cabinetry.
It's a fantastic twist on the classic wood kitchen, and the sleek invisible kitchen trend we've seen increasingly more in celebrity homes this year.
While much of her kitchen is white, the wood adds a textural element to the space that maintains some visual interest, further proving the versatility of this beloved material.

According to experts, wood works particularly well in a white kitchen, where the natural material warms up the space.
'Natural wood tones can balance out the crispness of a white kitchen by adding warmth and character,' explains designer Nina Lichtenstein. 'Try floating wood shelves, a butcher block countertop for your island, wood ceiling beams, or wooden stools. Lighter woods, like maple or oak, create a calming look, while darker wood accents like walnut add a more dramatic contrast that can anchor the space visually.'
The wood fridge is the perfect contrasting element next to Jennifer's white, marble countertops, with the natural materials coexisting beautifully.

However, if you're not ready to commit to a new fridge exterior, wood accessories like salt and pepper shakers or a spice rack can have a similar impact.

For something more unexpected, this plate and spice rack is a charming addition to any kitchen. The wood and brass pairing is a real classic, and it provides extra storage more decoratively. A matching wood and brass shelf is also available.
Adding lamps to a kitchen has been a big trend this year to create a more cozy, lived-in atmosphere – and it's a great way to bring in wood tones. This design is stylish, timeless, and won't take up much space. It's also available in a lighter wood, too.
When I'm bringing in a new texture or material to my kitchen, I always like to look to my essentials. Your slate and pepper mills are a fun and affordable way to bring in an extra wood tone – I love the unique design of this set from Wayfair.
