It wasn't until recently that I classified a bench as an entryway essential. However, after increasingly noticing some chic benches (some functional, some design-led) in my coolest friends' homes, I began to categorize them as a modern home essential.
So, the search for an entryway bench of my own started, and very quickly ended with a collection we know all too well on Homes & Gardens' celebrity style desk: Kelly Clarkson Home at Wayfair.
In recent years, I have written about every stand-out piece from the singer's collection, but somehow, the Steven Upholstered 47" Bench (available at Wayfair) had slipped through the net. That was until my entryway bench search, however. This bench is one of the chicest pieces I've seen from Kelly's collection.
Firstly, it's olive green upholstery that perfects one of 2025's most significant color trends, but as we've seen in years before, green's appeal is far from fleeting. Then there's its beautiful silhouette. The waterfall edges create a striking shape that feels streamlined and ultra contemporary. Remarkably, it's currently available for under $270, an unbelievable price tag when you consider how expensive this bench looks.
Entirely wrapped in soft, plush fabric, this bench is as comfortable as it is stunning. It features a solid wood frame with sled feet and a curving, handle-inspired silhouette that will act as a talking point in every entryway, bedroom, or living space.
I won't deny that this bench would make a statement in any color, but there's something about olive green that made me fall for it above the rest. Thankfully, though, this tone is perfect for entryways, where bridging the gap between indoor and outdoor spaces matters the most.

With this in mind, I couldn't help but browse more olive green accessories to complement this bench in my entryway.
Designed by Jannis Ellenberger, this carved green marble table lamp makes a sculptural statement on any entryway console. It feels quietly luxurious and makes the perfect first impression.
You don't need to invest in a bench to bring this hue into your home. I suggest using this pillow to experiment with the look. Its rich green hue looks perfect against a neutral couch, and its velvet-like texture makes it inviting and cozy.
This area rug is almost as much of a must-have as my favorite bench. Made from wool and hand-loomed, it features a bold color-blocked design that catches the eye. I'd also use a rug pad to keep it in place and add extra comfort.
