When you're dealing in A-list real estate, a six-to-seven-figure sale price is the norm, but it's not often that you hear of celebs knocking nearly half the value off in a second attempt to sell their home. That's exactly what Meghan Trainor has done with her monochromatic LA mansion, which is situated just off Ventura Boulevard in the popular Encino neighborhood.
Currently listed with Carol Wood Real Estate, for just shy of $7 million the 14,000 sq ft, 7-bed mansion reportedly failed to sell in 2024 for the original asking price of $12 million. Ok, we're not talking small change here, but if you do happen to have a few 0's on your bank balance, a $5 million discount isn't something to scoff at – especially when you see what that gets you. Shall we take a look inside?
The slick, open-plan entryway sets the tone for the whole house, decorated in crisp white, with black accents throughout, from the ballustrades of the grand double staircase, to the statement rug, ceramics, and even in the artwork on the walls.

While Meghan Trainor has opted for an unmistakably monochrome color scheme – note the black-framed windows, in-built media unit, and industrial-chic lighting in the living spaces above and below – she's softened the look with textural fabrics, leafy plants, curvaceous furniture, and artisanal pieces displayed on light-wood open shelving, giving a distinctly naturalistic feel.

In black wood grain effect, this coffee table makes a bold statement, while the curved legs soften the hard edges to mirror a curved couch.
The dreamy bedrooms – five of which have en-suites – reflect a similarly pared-back aesthetic, though splashes of subtle color have been brought in through artwork, rugs, and throw pillows.
The spa-style bathroom is perhaps the most minimal space in Meghan Trainor's LA pad, and, in fact, is barely recognisable as a bathroom until closer inspection, with its clean-lined marble bathtub, with black hardware, and black marble-lined walk-in shower. It's minimal yet so serene.

Back downstairs, the fabulous chef's kitchen combines high-spec appliances, like a stainless steel double-fronted fridge, wine store and range, and not one, but two kitchen islands. The minimal white cabinetry and marble countertops are offset by the natural wood floor, ceiling and bar stools, proving that white kitchen ideas can feel warm and homely.
The modern organic vibe continues through to the dining area, which features a beautiful natural wood table, spindle-backed chairs, and plenty of light, which floods in through the wide patio doors. This opens onto another covered indoor-outdoor entertaining space with views of that stunning tropical pool area.
In stark contrast to the minimal look indoors, the resort-style grounds are nothing short of spectacular, with a newly built idyllic pool, tropical rock garden with waterfall, and slide. There's also a full-sized tennis court above the pool, a putting green, fire pit lounge, and a custom-built play area.
Naturally, the properly also includes a professional recording studio, as well as a private guest house with a gym (how do we get an invite?). It's a veritable playground for the Hollywood set. Now to get our hands on $7 million.
