Rachel Brosnahan and The Property Brothers gave a masterclass in maximizing storage – it comes with this simple, replicable lesson
The latest episode of Celebrity IOU shows Johnathan and Drew Scott, and Rachel Brosnahan working together to maximize storage intelligently

Your kitchen is only as good as its storage. No matter how stylish the design or how high-quality the materials, if clutter covers every surface, it will look messy and overcrowded.
Rachel Brosnahan expertly tackles this issue in the latest episode of Celebrity IOU with The Property Brothers, Johnathan and Drew Scott.
The actress gifted her best friend's parents, Ron and Robin, the kitchen of their dreams, with enough built-in storage to keep all of their possessions tucked away. It's a treasure trove of kitchen storage ideas.
Rachel explains in the episode: 'They’ve had a really, really difficult last couple of years. They’ve had enough once-in-a-lifetime health issues for many lifetimes. Thankfully, they’re coming out the other side of this period, and so it feels like the perfect time just to be able to spread a little bit of extra love in the house the way that they do.' A kitchen remodel is a beautiful way to jumpstart this reset.

To solve this common kitchen storage mistake, the team designed a simple appliance garage in the back of the space. The glass-fronted wooden cabinets behind the group in the first picture make it easy to see what the family has for easy use, without having it constantly out.
Second, they opened up the space and lined the walls with cabinets. By removing a darkening wall, the brothers helped to fill the family's kitchen with light and integrate more kitchen cabinet ideas. These cabinets go all the way up to the ceiling, providing storage for every item from the most used to the least.
'It was really fun to figure out how to retain the spirit of the space, but also give it the kind of update that you guys deserve,' says Rachel.
If you follow this simple example and prioritize cabinet space and an appliance garage over on-counter storage, your space will instantly feel bigger. Thank you Rachel.
