My ideal patio captures the essence of a luxury resort in St. John, offering a sprawling sanctuary for swimming and relaxation amidst lush greenery and cooling shade. Sofía Vergara has realized this vision at her California home, and as we move into the bright, sun-drenched days of April 2026, her setup feels more inspiring than ever.
I recently noticed her pool area in an Instagram post where she poses beneath a chic pergola. Behind her sits a white curved sofa (like this one from Wayfair) adorned with striped cushions, positioned next to a round, white ceramic coffee table – the ultimate spot for an early spring morning coffee. Nearby, lounge chairs by the water invite long afternoons of sunbathing.
The pool itself features a curved, lagoon-like silhouette that feels organic and inviting, while the limestone flooring gives the entire deck the sophisticated atmosphere of a European escape.

To recreate the timeless elegance of Sofía’s deck, I would select these top–rated, neutral pieces to capture her sophisticated 2026 aesthetic.
While I can't find Sofia's exact pillows, these striped pieces from Amazon are a close alternative to her look. They're made from durable polyester fabric and feature a discreet invisible zipper for a clean finish. Soft to the touch, they're also comfortable, and gentle on the skin.
This curved sofa is the first step in following Sofía Vergara’s example. Wrapped in premium, weather-resistant fabrics that stand up to real life, they are designed to look elevated while staying remarkably easy to maintain.
These stylish square pillows were created by another icon, Martha Stewart. They’re a beautiful way to add a pop of color and are perfect for lounging poolside – perfect whether you have curved furniture or not.
This sectional is composed of multiple curved pieces, creating a relaxed and inviting look. Its welcoming shape instantly adds charm and interest to any pool area.
Designed to follow the natural contours of your body, this lounge offers exceptional comfort while standing up to the elements, so you can truly relax.
This curved patio furniture set features a distinctive half-moon modular design, allowing you to easily arrange the individual sofas into a semi-circle, full circle, or custom layout to suit your outdoor space.
Even though my daily work involves reviewing countless celebrity pool ideas, Sofía Vergara’s remains my favorite because it strikes a perfect balance between utility and serenity. There are several design lessons to take from her space as we prepare our homes for the 2026 summer season.
First, her choice of outdoor furniture – specifically the curved sofa and matching table – creates a fluid, organic energy where every element connects seamlessly. This modern aesthetic provides a refreshing contrast to the traditional, textured limestone underfoot.
Furthermore, her yard proves that pool shapes do not have to be conventional. While rectangular designs are standard, a curved pool acts as a tranquil lagoon that immediately transports you to a tropical climate.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly for those looking to refresh their space this month, Sofía shows how colorful accessories can revitalize an area. This is the simplest way to embrace outdoor design trends without a permanent commitment. By adding green indoor/outdoor cushions and a vibrant bouquet of seasonal flowers, she creates a bold impact through small details. To mirror this look, you can easily upgrade your current setup with affordable, colorful accents.
A truly great pool area is more than just a backyard; it is a private holiday destination just outside your door, achievable through curved lines, creative landscaping, and the timeless elegance of limestone.
