I didn’t expect Teri Hatcher’s farmhouse kitchen to feature this bold forest green – but seeing it in person convinced me it’s the perfect design choice
Teri's vintage kitchen is the epitome of luxury, but it's the cabinet color that I can't take my eyes off of – and I think you'll agree

I believe if anyone had to pick one kitchen style, farmhouse should be it. Proven to be one of the most enduring looks to date, it has an undeniably charming, rustic feel that transitions beautifully into almost any home.
While I've been pretty set on my theory about farmhouse kitchens for a while, after seeing actor Teri Hatcher's space up close, I'm even more convinced that the vintage-inspired look isn't going anywhere in 2026. From the chic copper hood to the nostalgic pot filler, Teri's space undoubtedly embraces not only the hottest vintage trends but also a rather unexpected kitchen color trend – forest green.
Don't get me wrong, green has long been a go-to kitchen cabinet color choice, but the depth of Teri's feels like a bit of a power move; it brings that all-important luxurious element to an otherwise rustic space.

It's not just the forest green cabinets in Teri's kitchen that have caught my attention, from the retro pot filler to the tea kettle, a vintage kitchen isn't complete without these country-style essentials.
This brushed nickel pot filler looks just like Teri's. With its vintage-inspired faucet and smooth finish, it'll give any stove a timeless, country feel for less than $100.
You'll notice Teri serves her meal in a chic stoneware baking dish much like this style from Emile Henry. With its rich glaze and classic shape, no kitchen is complete without this farmhouse staple.
I'm obsessed with the retro tea kettle on Teri's stove, it gives the space a cozy, homely feel and ties in perfectly with the other vintage accents. Luckily for you, I've sourced the exact same one by Le Creuset – and it's on sale now.
Green kitchens are no new trend. In fact, I've seen more than my fair share of kitchens decked out with sage, olive, and apple green cabinets. It's exactly this that makes Teri's space so refreshing. Its beauty lies in its boldness.
You'd typically see paler hues with the modern farmhouse style, but I love that the unctuous forest green strays from tradition in the most unexpected (and satisfying) way.
As with many bold design choices, it's not easy to pull off the forest green trend, but paired with the antique-copper hood, the vintage pot filler and kettle, and the range oven, the hue feels like the perfect, luxurious addition that balances out the older details.

It's not just the vintage accents that the green paint pairs well with. The bold color makes a statement in Teri's neutral kitchen, adding character, personality, and that all-important sense of calm amidst the chaos.
Ruth Mottershead, the creative director at Little Greene, explains, 'Forest green is a fantastic color for kitchens, a muted and more gentle tone which will create a calming environment that is well suited to open plan living. Combine with exposed brick, rattan, and natural wood finishes for an interior that brings the atmosphere of the outdoors inside.'
Teri's forest green kitchen cabinets might be unexpected, but they are undoubtedly a clever choice.
Without the hue, it's a relatively neutral space, so the presence of the deep green makes all the difference; it creates that all-important sense of luxury and depth. It's the perfect contrast with the vintage details too, radiating that enviable high-end feel that we all strive for.
