For many of us, making coffee at home is a no-frills routine. It gets the job done, but rarely comes close to what you can order at your favorite coffee shop.

The De'Longhi Magnifica Duo Automatic Espresso Machine aims to change that, bringing the barista experience home, but without any of the fussy training. With 20 preset hot and iced drinks, including espresso, drip coffee, iced lattes, and cold brew, plus a built-in grinder and automatic milk frother, it takes almost all the guesswork out of brewing.

When choosing a coffee machine, it is certainly one to consider, whether you are a coffee aficionado or simply need your morning caffeine hit.

If you want to make espresso at home, you need one of the best espresso machines − and the De'Longhi Magnifica Duo is shaping up to be just that. With a built-in grinder, preset menu, and automatic milk frother, it can make any style of drink in minutes. It even takes the fuss out of cold brew, reducing a traditionally 12-hour extraction process down to just three minutes.

High-pressure brewing with pre-infusion creates bold, intense espresso. Lower pressure without pre-infusion allows the grinds to bloom for a classic drip coffee. For cold brew, ambient temperature water and very low pressure steep the grounds longer.

To really make the system effortless, the machine features a built-in conical burr grinder and milk frother, which work seamlessly without extra labor. It is going to be one of the quickest café-style brews of any morning routine.

It's designed for families, too, even if you have different tastes. You can set three dedicated user profiles, each with unique taste preferences to automate drink size, intensity, and temperature, no matter who is making coffee at home.

Better still, the cleaning is just as simple. The removable components are dishwasher safe, and the machine has a self-clean function, so you're not stuck scrubbing.

While we are yet to get our hands on one to test ourselves, pre-launch reviews have been nothing but positive. One on the De'Longhi page dubbed the Magnifica Duo the 'Ferrari of coffee machines,' adding, 'This machine is amazing. And I’ve had some pretty good ones in the past. I have a Moccamaster for drip coffee and a Ninja Deluxe machine as well. But the intuitiveness of this DeLonghi, the ease, the flavor of the coffee when extracted is top-notch. I look forward to every morning to be able to use this machine. [...] I could not recommend this machine more if you are a coffee enthusiast.'

Another commented on how surprisingly quiet it was even when grinding, and others praised how easy it is to clean. I can't wait to get my hands on one and put it through its paces.
