It's nothing that has caused me any neck or back pain, but I do generally prefer flatter pillows and would usually opt for a soft firmness instead. After testing, however, I gifted it to my father, who says he's been sleeping better than ever with it. Ideally, it's down to personal preferences.

The main difference I noticed is that, unlike other down alternative pillows I've tried, such as the Brooklinen Down Alternative Pillow I recently reviewed, this one doesn't mimic the feel of real down quite as closely.

As I moved my head around during the night, I could feel that the fill was slightly bulkier and more synthetic than genuine down. However, as someone who prioritizes shopping cruelty-free, that wasn't a particular concern for me.

Other than that, it's definitely one I'd recommend to anyone who likes something a little loftier, hot sleepers, and those looking to avoid any animal-derived products.

The only other thing to note is that it's not particularly easy to wash, dry, and care for this pillow, as it can only be spot- or dry-cleaned. Pair it with a pillow protector, available on Amazon, and a pillowcase, though, and this shouldn't be a problem.
