My home is filled with thrifted finds, but this vintage-inspired Shea McGee x Target table delivers the same look for less – and it's currently $100 off
I’m convinced this Threshold designed with Studio McGee console table is the easiest way to add timeless, vintage-inspired character to any room

My home is full of thrifted finds and vintage treasures, so I'll admit that I don’t often look to big-box stores for furniture with character.
But when I spotted this Braided Console Table in Walnut from Shea McGee's fall collection at Target, I had to make an exception. With its vintage-inspired twisted wood detailing and rich walnut finish, it has the soul of an antique – but without demanding the endless hours of scouring flea markets.
With fall on the horizon, and my home craving some cozy fall decor ideas in the mix, I can't think of a better way to introduce some warmth than this prime vignette real estate. And the fact that it’s currently $100 off in the Labor Day deals makes it even harder to resist.

Vintage furniture has been inspiring modern furniture trends more and more lately, with the rise in bobbins, dark wood tones, retro lacquer, and skirted pieces being some of the most covetable.
And, of course, Shea McGee is no stranger to a trending design – the collection is awash with vintage-inspired pieces and designs that tap into the burgundy fall trend – but this time, it's the turn of the twist.
Taking to Instagram this week, the Studio McGee designer shared a glimpse of this stylish piece in situ with the caption: 'Twists, braids and rich red hues. These details, in ways big and small, provided the inspiration for the whole collection and add moments of sophistication to your spaces.'
Styled to perfection, Shea McGee's fall entryway styling comes to life with this console as its center. Paired a mix of warming scent, rustic vases filled with foliage, Chunky Dark Brown Baskets, the Large Earthy Table Lamp with Whipstitch Shade, and this chic Upholstered Metal Ottoman, Shea's vignette welcomes in the new season without going overtly kitsch or autumnal.
Design expertise in your inbox – from inspiring decorating ideas and beautiful celebrity homes to practical gardening advice and shopping round-ups.
I think what makes this piece so compelling is how it balances that old-world, heirloom look with Shea's timeless design style. It's versatile to work in an entryway, living room, or behind a sofa in a floating floor plan, while still offering that unique feel that I'm chasing from vintage finds.
And of course, half the fun of a console is the opportunity to create new vignettes that can be switched around depending on your style, mood, or the season, meaning no two consoles are going to feel the same.
The happy shoppers in the reviews note that the table is very heavy, so bear that in mind for assembly, but it does prove that it is a sturdy, quality item designed to last.
For me, this budget-friendly design is proof that you don’t always need to hunt down a thrifted gem to bring warmth and character into your home. Now all I've got to do is beat you to the basket.

A boucle armchair has been the mark of any well-dressed home for the past few years, so it is only right that Shea has designed her own. With an elegant look, this is made from faux-shearling with a padded, supportive seat and a bonus: a 360-degree swivel.
If you’re looking to add a touch of vintage-inspired charm to your home without the antique store price tag, the Shea McGee x Target twisted console table really does deliver. It has all the character I usually spend months hunting down at estate sales – and at $100 off, it feels like one of those rare finds you don’t let slip by.
